The Denver Nuggets summer has now officially gone from a C- or D+ to an F.

I don't really know how to justify this one to fans. The only thing a 2031 1st rounder does for them is open up the Stepien rule for Denver to trade their own 2031 1st round pick.

Not getting back a player is entirely because the Nuggets are over the second apron. They couldn't do it legally, and it now costs them their ability to make a trade that benefits the Nuggets in the near term.

Immediate reaction: horrible outcome and one that Denver fans should be concerned about.
