@mrtomo2008@westham_bubble@fesshole It honestly gets better. My two were really hard at 7, but we eventually learned to get through to them and put strategies in place to avoid issues. At 11, the Year 7 transition was fraught at times but so rewarding now that they have found their group of friends.
@02mdafydd@elliwgwawr A fyddai pobl yn disgwyl i blentyn 7 oed ddarllen y gair scowl/glower yn Saesneg? Tybio bod hwn wedi cael ei gyfieithu, ond dyw’r un geiriau ddim yn cael eu defnyddio yn gyffredin ym mhob iaith. Dyna be sy’n peri trafferth ella, mae lefel yr iaith yn newid wrth gyfieithu.
@AdamRutherford Cycling’s lack of representation is embarrassingly down to culture. Plenty of examples of talented sprinters, Maurice Burton, Shanaze Reade, talent doesn’t automatically equate to success in sport. https://t.co/c4QVpGE8uY
@PJSADI@GreenBadgeSi @sarsfieldsride But in this video the cycle path clearly has a solid white line which means you should not enter in a vehicle, rather than a dashed line which you’re allowed to cross.
@GreenBadgeSi @sarsfieldsride You are seriously asking why the child chose the safest way to avoid a vehicle; a vehicle which failed to follow the Highway Code as it shouldn’t have been parked in the cycle lane in the first place - a cycle lane which is there precisely to keep them safer away from vehicles!?
@BritishCycling@Shell_UKLtd Well done… Sarcasm claxon at full blast. Seriiusly though, what will it take for you to pull the plug on this ludicrous idea, before you completely self-destruct?
@mrjamesob This isn’t just the UK. My in-laws in Switzerland were forewarned in August that there would be 4 hour scheduled blackouts over winter to cope with supply shortage. Irony is they have solar panels but need grid power to do the AC/DC conversion so they will still have powercuts…
If you want to know who is paying for the Queen’s funeral it is the magic money tree that the Treasury can always shake when it needs a little more cash. They could also use it to tackle problems in the NHS, education, social care and so much else. They just choose not to….

A Conservative MP has called on the Welsh Government to act on sewage discharged into rivers, despite voting last year to allow the practice to continue.

@elenacresci Cheaper at night is still not affordable. These articles completely ignore how everyone was encouraged for years to ditch their Economy 7 dual rate meters as they were more expensive, and the failings of successive smart meter rollouts which are needed to obtain dual rate pricing
@kayaburgess Beyond the obvious question of how someone on the breadline can afford to invest in new items to save money, when did he last buy a kettle? £20 for a kettle is very cheap, double it at least for something with better efficiency. The man is so out of touch it’s beyond laughable.
@grumpwitch @eridowd You do have the option - you can pay for Royal Mail postage online, parcel it up and if you can’t delegate to someone else to drop it off at a Post Office for you, you can pay an extra 60p for collection… From another hater of awkward interactions :)

@cyngormon this is not the first time people have complained. We’re in the middle of a biodiversity crisis, please stop cutting verges in spring & summer. Diolch. @RhunapIorwerth
