We were done with AI friends, so we made a social network to bring human connections back.
No hashtags. No swiping. No awkward small talks.
Meet Second Me, an AI identity based on the real you and does all the social legwork so you can focus on the deep conversations.

The next crucial capability for large models on the path to AGI is what I call Realtime Alignment—the ability to adjust and align parameters continuously during usage.
Today’s advancements, like multimodal capabilities and reasoning, focus on pre-usage training methods such as RLHF, DPO, and Self-play. While effective, these methods don’t address real-time adaptability.
The real breakthrough will come from enabling models to align and improve in real-world usage—what I call realtime alignment. This could be achieved, for instance, through LoRA (Low-Rank Adaptation).
What do you think about this direction?
Each new wave of technology uncovers a unique type of data that drives new value. By tapping into this fresh data, entirely new opportunities can emerge.
In the internet era, public knowledge was transformed into websites.
In the mobile internet era, the focus shifted to personal data like location and photos.
In the AI era, the most valuable data is the full scope of human memory and thought.
From a few large machines to one for everyone, personal computers truly brought AI to the public and created an ecosystem. The most successful companies to date are still personal computer companies (Microsoft, Apple).
This occurred to me some day that how can we make AI more proactive?
Imagine a button everyone could click to instantly receive care and inspiration based on their memories and the context. It is happening now.
Is https://t.co/qjsDtmSLIE a notebook? Yes and no. It helps you remember things, but it's more than that—it becomes a part of your life, evolving and growing with you.
Sometimes I find myself questioning whether I'm in an AI echo chamber, but every day I'm inspired by how people use https://t.co/xpCvK21i6M in ways I have never imagined. They reassure me of the incredible potential of developing an AI model that can be tailored to individual needs.
I'm deeply saddened by the recent news about https://t.co/lfLUX55SuW. Current AI systems often create identities that are separate from the user, which can lead to emotional dependency on something fictional. I believe AI shouldn't exist as an independent entity, but rather as a digital extension of yourself.
This is exactly what https://t.co/xpCvK21i6M is aiming for. We train personal AI models based on your unique life experiences and thoughts, so your AI becomes a reflection of you. You can collaborate with it, but you won't become dependent on it.
Had a great chat w/ @venturetwins & we both love the future of AI becoming a digital extension of people, serving as a form of social identity. https://t.co/qjsDtmSLIE is following this path by letting users upload their thoughts & create a "second brain". Super exciting!
Love this! We’ve been working on something similar at https://t.co/qjsDtmSLIE—helping you get all those swirling thoughts organized so you can focus on what really matters. Can’t wait to see where this goes!
🚨 New @a16z thesis: building the "AI brain"
We all exist in our own context.
Is it possible to take your jumble of thoughts, history, and memories and distill it into something tangible?
How I exported my brain to AI + what I'm seeing from startups 👇
@venturetwins@a16z Really love your thoughts! We’re building https://t.co/qjsDtmSLIE with a similar vision. Excited to see where this idea goes and would love for you to give https://t.co/qjsDtmSLIE a try!
