@HughMaestro27 It was a 5/10 for me. The best lines of dialogue were in the trailer, and the plot structure was really bent into some unnatural shapes. By the final act, I was getting bored. Definitely had some funny scenes and great performances.
@ereliuer_eteer "I love you" is simply symbols that your brain has been trained to recognize. It is an abstraction that means nothing to a mind that only understands Japanese . It is devoid if any meaning whatsoever except for what we assign to it.
@ErnateMir@adorientem You are flipping the properties. There are only two things in the known universe you can have a conversation with: SOME humans, and AI.
@RifeWithKaiju I also reject #2. And I also think the way the professor wrote it is clumsy..
1. Pencils and tree trunks are made of wood.
2. Pencils can't grow.
3. If 1 and 2 then trees can not grow
4. But trees do grow
5. Thus, trees must be more than just tree trunks and wood.
@CanadaKenyaDad@cremieuxrecueil Most schools do not have that kind of money. Only the largest and most icy league could afford it and they are selective enough to not need to worry about it.
@saintsoftness Arendt, Marx, Adorno... All came from wealthy middle-upper class families for their time. Not elite, but definitely better off than most. The poor simply didn't go to college a hundred years ago.
@LOsaParks This isn't new. US Department of Education's Gainful Employment rules have existed since 2011 in one form or another, and many colleges have been subject to these rules.
@robertolinger@ChrisExpTheNews It depends on who goes to school. Colleges can be selective or they can be inclusive. Selective colleges don't have this problem. But then you are locking out the underserved community by making them too risky to educate.
@ChrisExpTheNews Federal dollars is for accredited programs only. Once the program is accredited it can receive funds, unless the program fails to meet gainful employment rules.
@musicandroots Here's a secret. Colleges already have incredibly strong incentives to pass you. Outside of the absolutely top tier schools, colleges have already dumbed down their curriculum and inflated grades. This would just be more incentive.
@musicandroots Believe it or not, the government knows how much you make thanks to a institution called the IRS. And this is not new. DOE Gainful Employment regulations have been a thing since 2011 with hundreds of colleges having to meet GE requires to receive title iv funds.
@predederva@TK422AtMyPost We? What would you and I do such a thing? I don't remember telling colleges to do that. Maybe I got black out drunk one night and told Duke to charge students out the ass, and Duke was like right on man.
