Last week marked 2024 Arts Week. 🎭
The arts have always been integral to Toronto’s identity, and we must continue to support our local creative communities that make our city a vibrant, diverse cultural hub on the global stage.
I had the pleasure of meeting with representatives from @TAPA_TO , @Toronto_Fringe Festival, and @iatse58 to discuss ways of fostering arts and culture in Toronto.
As part of the @TorontoArts Council, I will continue to prioritize protecting and investing in cultural spaces and organizations to secure the long-term vitality of artists in our city.
Now more than ever, we need to ensure that artists and art organizations have the tools they need to thrive and support them to continue enriching our city.
During Arts Week in the City, our GM Michael Sinclair and Indrit Kasapi from @beyondwallsTPM met with Councillor @JoshMatlow to discuss the arts' role in shaping a vibrant, inclusive Toronto—a reminder of how the arts connect and uplift our communities! #SupportTheArts
Great to meet with @TAPA_TO for Arts week and reaffirm my support for the Arts in Toronto. The investments we’ve proposed in the Cutlure Action Plan will help us make sure everyone can discover, create and experience arts and culture in our daily lives.
