@Travinport@DDsD Yes sure. Once they reach a certain length they will not grow bigger or fall off the plant. It is only once they are picked off the plant will they ripen for you.
@Travinport@DDsD Once the fruit starts to ripen, you will recieve only a mouthful every couple of days.
It is worth the wait however, as the fruit has a tantalising taste cross between pineapple/custard apple/pear. This is why it is also referred to as “the fruit salad plant”
@Travinport@DDsD The photo above would be fine to pick. They will then ripen when left on your kitchen bench over the following week or so.
It is also a good idea to wrap gladwrap over the fruit when the scales start to fall off to prevent fruit flies.
