It’s critical to have open, honest and healthy discussions around mental health. By retweeting #BellLetsTalk you can make a difference. In case that’s not enough, before Disney bought Fox, Deadpool 3 was gonna be a road trip between Deadpool and Logan. Rashomon style. For real.
Today, every view of this video helps create positive change. All you need to do is watch it and Bell will donate 5¢ more to Canadian mental health initiatives. Retweet to help spread the word! #BellLetsTalk
@mira_bining Super important and informative post Mira! As someone from BC, i’m very aware of the province’s opioid epidemic and that it needs more attention and discussion. So thank you for sharing :) #ccom315#315blog
@SoldwischMadi I really admire how you created you own logo to make your page more minimal and aesthetically pleasing😊
Also the format of your reflection video - guiding the audience through your site - was very engaging and helped me in navigating your site! #ccom315#315blogs

My final blog post is a review of the "kids" film, WALL-E, as I wanted to highlight the many messages it provides that are valuable for people of ALL ages to learn - relevant to current themes of environment, technology and overall health 🌍🖥️❤️🫂
@JamalAlyanna@AlexFrisch04 I too thought that was very cool! As technology and mobile phones keep advancing, it's interesting to see companies recognizing how attached users are becoming with their devices, thus innovating new features (greyscale, DND) into the device to mitigate these behaviours #ccom315
I've been working harder at setting boundaries here. The messages can wait, and it's not the end of the world if I don't get back to people immediately. I don't owe them 24/7 access to me. I've had to learn how to prioritize myself over others in this specific regard. #315slides
I'm trying to be more conscious of my device use and social media presence lately & strategies I've found effective to control being "always on" are taking screen breaks (every ~1h) and Do Not Disturb mode, particularly when doing schoolwork or screen-free activities #315slides
@ty_fraser07 LOL so relatable! I lack the will power to resist the "buzz" so thank goodness for these tools😅 who knows if I'd get any work done without them...
When we started our blogging unit I instantly felt like Julie (Amy Adams) from the movie Julie & Julia - the story of an aspiring chef who writes a blog about her journey cooking through Julia Child's cookbook👩🍳 a great film and example of writing the Internet #315slides
While it suggests deleting apps as a "nuclear option", I've found this to be a refreshing change from my routine phone use and helped me feel less "on" - and with most social sites, you can simply re-download the app and log back in your account after a nice break :) #315slides
@MorganR91673669 I totally agree! As if SO much of our routine interactions don't already take place over mobile devices and social media, now education and academic communication is entirely through screens. For me, this makes "turning off" even more challenging and also very tempting!
I struggled most with inserting an image; the Commons didn't provide many options related to my page and I wasn't comfortable featuring a personal photo. Eventually, I found an image relevant enough and it was published without issue - emphasizing the ease in contributing
Before this assignment, I never used the editing functions on Wikipedia so this was difficult for me at times. But it was very informative and fun to experiment with these tools and now that I'm more experienced, I feel encouraged to contribute more!✍️ #ccom315#315wikichallenge
