Through the NJEDA’s Child Care Facilities Improvement Program, approximately 600 child care centers across the state will receive grants to upgrade their facilities supported by more than $140 million in direct funding.
Ensuring that every family in New Jersey has access to affordable, high-quality child care is essential to New Jersey’s economic infrastructure. Under @GovMurphy's leadership, New Jersey has invested over $1 billion in child care initiatives.
To date, NJEDA has invested over $6 million towards strengthening food security in Atlantic City. Over the next two years, 11 grantee organizations will be implementing projects including establishing new permanent and mobile food pantries, constructing a co-op market, and more!
Yesterday, the NJEDA Food Security Team hosted a grantee convening to kick off the Atlantic City Food Security Grants Pilot Program. The program has awarded grants of up to $500K to support initiatives that strengthen food access in NJ's second most acute Food Desert Community.

By making upgrades to these child care centers, we are expanding seats and allowing more parents to return to the workforce — bolstering economic growth and competitiveness.
Our overall investments in child care infrastructure are one of the largest of any state in the nation.
Today, we visited The Kids Palace II in West Orange to highlight our more than $1 billion total investment in the child care sector.
