Thank you to the @boyntonhealth team for an easy and efficient vaccine process for @UMNNursing students! Also s/o to @GopherSwimDive for keeping the mood high with their practice tunes.
Signed up to receive the vaccine today (nursing student actively working with patients) and it’s the most emotional I’ve ever felt after interacting with a google sheet. A reminder that hope is vulnerable and brave. Sending it out to all 💛
Dear politicians/political influencers:
When you tweet about my father’s birthday, remember that he was resolute about eradicating racism, poverty & militarism.
Encourage & enact policies that reflect your birthday sentiments.
Here’s the authentic #MLK:
Something that has been made clear:
We need to stop saying “This is not who we are” in “America.”
Indeed, this is not who and what the United States should be, but denial won’t make the injustices and inhumane ideologies less so.
We can’t change without truth.
The best way to bring groups of Americans together is to eliminate inequities between groups. We have much work to do. But to get the work done, we need hope, empathy, love, and a radical commitment to evidence, justice, and community. We can do this.
"All the women who have worked to secure and protect the right to vote for over a century ... I stand on their shoulders," Vice President-elect Kamala Harris says. "But while I may be the first woman in this office, I will not be the last" https://t.co/fhg5HyhMTZ
America, I’m honored that you have chosen me to lead our great country.
The work ahead of us will be hard, but I promise you this: I will be a President for all Americans — whether you voted for me or not.
I will keep the faith that you have placed in me.
