@RazorLiteX It’s a loan so it’s not subject to taxation - they can’t have it both ways. They define it as a loan post 2010 but income pre 2010? Or what am I missing here?
@gregwrightYP@HMRCVictim “stepping up our efforts to warn individuals about the risks of being drawn in to avoidance, and helping them to get out of a scheme once they realise that they might be caught up in one”
HMRC failed on the above when they did know and raised checks and sat ok them for a decade
I’ve been encouraged by support from colleagues who want a fresh start, a united party and leadership in the national interest.
I’m running to be the leader of the Conservative Party and your Prime Minister - to unite our country, deliver our pledges and win the next GE.

Just months ago Conservative MPs said Boris Johnson wasn't fit to run the country. Now many are flocking to put this liar and lawbreaker back in Number 10.
It is an insult to the British people who are being denied a say in this stitch up.
Congratulations to @loanchargeAPPG member @griffitha on appointment as Financial Secretary to Treasury. As APPG member Andrew you know reality of #LoanCharge, please work to end this nightmare for victims.
@paul__johnson@dianehain @lucyfrazermp First Secretary to the Treasury hiding from the largest (250 strong) All Party Parliamenty Group @loanchargeAPPG because she can't defend the unjust retrospective tax called the #LoanCharge
@jmalitrg Politicians with their own offshore issues need not offer leniency - they simply need to ensure LC victims are not subject to punitive rules that "mere" avoiders/evaders are not subjected to.
Elsewhere in HMRC - perhaps they should listen occasionally beyond their echo chamber.
20. Tax avoidance in the UK will always be a thing until @HMRCgovuk get their house in order. Whatever you think no legislation should be retrospective and cause 1 suicide let alone 9.
If you want to know more on #LoanCharge read this old thread.

17. We have had 4 Chancellors in the last 6yrs, all involved in tax avoidance, all supporting punitive legislation for ordinary workers who used schemes now caught by the #LoanCharge. 6yrs of hypocrites. They have been in charge of this legislation that has now caused 9 suicides.
16. We haven't heard @nadhimzahawi's opinion on #LoanCharge since taking up the role of Chancellor. But is he a hypocrite? Probably, how can you be involved in tax avoidance, even if legal & be Chancellor? He is probably like all the others & would not help Loan Charge victims.
15. Which brings us to our current Chancellor @nadhimzahawi, you would think by now we would get someone decent, wrong. Seems to me Zahawi didn't want to pay tax on his holdings in YouGov & had the shares held offshore in Gibraltar 🤷♂️

14. Is @RishiSunak a hypocrite? He certainly is when it comes to paying tax. A Chancellor whose family are up to their ears in tax avoidance. He refused to engage with representatives of #LoanCharge victims resulting in a 9th suicide last week. What a hypocrite.
#NeverRishiSunak
13. What about @RishiSunak's green card? Why did he hold onto it for so long when an MP & Chancellor? It seems very fishy Rishi. Did it give you a tax advantage? I guess we will never know as you elites are protected from HMRC unlike #LoanCharge victims.
