In Baltimore, 30% of #PWID eligible for #PrEP perceived their HIV risk as lower than average. Those with only injection risks were 2.75x more likely to perceive lower HIV risk. Tailored messaging on drug use risk could improve PrEP uptake. From @TarfaIV: https://t.co/HNQvAItG9I
Huge news in #transplant medicine from @CMDurandMD and colleagues: @NIH funded study published in @NEJM finds kidney transplantation from donors with #HIV to recipients with HIV to be as safe and effective as kidney transplantation from donors without HIV.
A lot of journals (even the top ones) have difficulty finding expert reviewers. Thus I am naturally wary of journals dat publish a paper 4-5 wks after an initial submission? No one is out there available with abundance of time to review your paper immediately after u submit it.
Excited to have my paper featured as the article of the week on @JohnsHopkinsDOM Medicine Matters Blog. Thanks to my coauthors at the @JohnsHopkinsSPH@JHMed_ID and @Hopkins_GIM for their support.
