I am a child abuse survivor. I endured 21 years of violence and sexual abuse. I remember being r*ped when I was 2 or 3 years old. I remember being beat up numerous times. I was suicidal quite a few times as a teen and always kept a bag packed in case I needed to run away.

But guess what?

I don’t go around killing people.

In fact, I’ve never committed any crimes.

I am sick to death of hearing idiots excuse, explain, or justify Christa Pike’s barbaric homicidal sadism because she had a crappy childhood.

That doesn’t make her actions understandable.

It actually makes them WORSE.

Because she knows exactly how it feels to be abused, yet she chose to inflict that agony on others.

Pike should have been executed 30 years ago. You cannot fix a person who chooses to be broken.

Christa Pike's attorneys need to stfu about her childhood trauma. It's a slap in the face to the millions of victims of violence and sexual abuse worldwide who have never murdered or tortured anyone. There is no excuse for what she did. And she is not sorry.

she has less work than I do because she pressures her clients into pleading guilty to everything. She enjoys the rest of her day after court is over. The kids exit her memory as soon as they leave the courtroom. They keep me awake at night. Their futures eat at me.

I resent my coworker for not feeling the level of stress I feel when things do not go our way. She seems so unbothered by the injustice. Our clients are just a paycheck.

I just want someone to agree with me that everything is messed up and unfair and that we should TRY to do something about it. But I'm all alone in my outrage and it's making me burn out. I'm just one person. I don't have it in me to fight an entire system alone.

No one asks what we can do to make them feel safer in their communities. No one asks WHERE the guns are coming from. We just stamp the kids with the felon label and tell them they're failures. Juvenile prosecutors, do you feel good about yourselves when you go to sleep at night?

Detroit youth: what can we do to help reduce the number of kids being caught with guns right now? I'm so sick of the prosecutor's office and their dedication to winning something over a child instead of actually helping the community. No one asks why the kids WANT the guns.
