While the courage of Capt. #SmitMachchhar on the #FlyDubai flight is rightly being hailed worldwide, *another Indian* 🇮🇳 did something equally spectacular in an aviation incident. Cdr Mayank Sharma VSM of @indiannavy had *voluntarily* gone into danger, in hostile territory, in turbulent waters, into a ditched, fuel-laden aircraft in Mogadishu (10 Feb 2026). One Indian saved a plane in the air. Another walked into fuel-soaked wreckage so it wouldn’t kill people on the ground. Both deserve to be known.
Let me tell you the story about an amazing naval officer. This is a story that needs to be told. Cdr Mayank Sharma was recently commended by the United Nations for “remarkable courage” and “technical expertise, calm leadership under pressure, and willingness to assume personal risk” (see commendation letter below).
Mayank is a Marine Commando, a serial-innovator (with 20+ patents and counting to his name) & holds *at least* three national records (that I am aware of, might even be more now). Some of you may remember the Indian Navy filing a patent for the ‘Aadyant’ Oxygen Recycling System during the COVID crisis. The inventor behind it? Cdr Mayank. Some may also remember Niti Aayog coordinating trials on medical devices a few years later. The innovator behind it? Cdr Mayank.
When I was OiC #TDAC, handling innovation for the Navy, I remember the Hon’ble Raksha Mantri @rajnathsingh inviting Cdr Mayank to his house as he wanted to hear first hand & at length about the sheer number of operational innovations being undertaken by Mayank. I was also directed by the then #CNS @Kbsingh03 to take Mayank to the Deputy NSA with some truly radical innovative ideas. When the Services decided to showcase in-house innovations to the Hon’ble PM @narendramodi during the Combined Commanders’ Conference (first done at the CCC at Kevadia, Gujarat, this subsequently became a part of CCC), Mayank (then a young Lt Cdr) was by my side as I conducted the briefing. He was awarded the Vishisht Seva Medal while still a lieutenant commander.
That’s Cdr Mayank Sharma for you. A man for all seasons. Brains when they are needed. Brawn when that’s the call. Super intelligent, superbly fit, always balanced, always composed. ‘Courage’ in a #MARCO is a given. He has displayed it again & again. He displayed it yet again at Mogadishu this year while posted as the Senior Maritime Military Advisor to the UN. His job description did not require diving skills or salvage expertise. He did it anyway…as lives were at stake. He not only “ensured the safe removal of pressurized oxygen cylinders and fire-suppression systems, both of which presented substantial ignition and explosion risks” but also took effective charge of the situation in an international rescue. He volunteered to go outside the UN designated safe “green zone”, right into the conflict zone. The UN letter said this “exemplifies the highest standards of professionalism, bravery, and commitment to United Nations values”.
Take a bow, Mayank. I hope many more people, especially #GenZ get to hear your story and are inspired by it.

🚨 HOLY SH*T! SHE WAS WARNING US: “THEY ATE HUMAN FLESH!”
In 2009, 21-year-old model Gabriela Rico Jiménez screamed this on camera before being arrested.
She was dismissed as hysterical and then she disappeared forever.
17 years later, Congress releases Epstein files containing allegations describing the exact same kinds of acts.
So who disappeared her - and why?
FOLLOW ME, NEXT DROP WILL BE SHOCKING.
The Arabic crew of the hijacked Flydubai plane shockingly clashed with Israeli passengers who subdued the axe-wielding co-pilot, demanding that he be freed, two men who helped secure the terror suspect told The New York Post in exclusive interviews.
“They were asking us to untie the terrorist — we had no idea why,” said banking executive Tzvika Manes, one of the three civilians who took down the would-be hijacker.
“They were saying to free the terrorist — we got instantly suspicious of them,” said real estate professional Daniel Schlichter, who was sitting in the second row, close to the cockpit.
Manes, 40, was traveling with his wife and three daughters aged 11, 7, and 6, after a family vacation in Japan, when the co-pilot, identified by The Wall Street Journal as an Omani national Hamam al-Hammami, began hacking at the Indian pilot, Capt. Smit Machchhar, with a crash axe.
The seriously injured Machchhar managed to open the cockpit door. Manes, along with plumber Yaniv Hayoun and Asaf Rajuan, rushed to confront the attacker and overpowered him.
Hayoun, a plumber, then managed to stabilise the plane using techniques he witnessed on the TV show “Air Disasters.”
Then the three Israelis subdued the pilot and restrained him face-down with his hands tied behind his back — first with zip ties, then using headphone wires that Schlicter gathered from passengers.
As he was subdued, Hayoun heard the terrorist cry, “Kill me, kill me” — apparently because he failed in his Jihadist mission, Manes said.
Yet some Flydubai crew members began demanding that he be freed.
An argument ensued and the Israeli trio shot back that under no circumstances would the suspected terrorist be released.
“They said, ‘You are not God, you are not going to kill him,'” Manes recalled.
“We didn’t want to kill him, we just wanted him not to kill us.”
Schlichter, 59, who was also returning from a vacation in Japan with his wife, and Manes both said that the Israelis even gave the wounded terrorist an oxygen mask.
“We wanted him to live so he could be investigated,” Schlichter said.
A power play ensued with the Flydubai crewmembers insisting that they were in charge of the plane and needed to remain alone in the area directly in front of the cockpit.
The Israelis, fearing the crew could be involved in the pilot’s plot, ordered the stewards to leave the cockpit area and to take seats in the middle of the plane.
“We told them, “Now the policy is we’re in charge and you do what we say,’ ” Manes said.
“We didn’t know what to think, we were in a suspicious mode for every steward.”
A group of passengers, Schlichter among them, escorted the crew members to seats in the fifth or sixth row, away from the cockpit.
“We shouted at them and told them to sit down,” said Schlichter, who has two children and two granddaughters.
The trio then enlisted a “big guy” to guard the cockpit and prevent anyone from entering, Manes said.
Reserve pilots seated on the back of the plane had at that point already entered the cockpit and taken over the control of the aircraft.
After the Flydubai crew was seated, they began to “understand that this was a special case,” Schlichter said, and they started tending to the traumatised passengers, providing them with blankets and water.
The crew has not been accused of conspiring with the bloodthirsty co-pilot.
When asked by The Post about the crew’s behavior, Flydubai said it could not comment on a matter under investigation.
“We remain fully committed to supporting the ongoing investigation and are in close coordination with the relevant government authorities and regulators,” it said in a statement.

Big revelation that the world should know about the hijacking attempt of the FlyDubai plane.
The terrorist pilot, Mohammed Hamam Al-Hammami, was not planning merely to crash the Israel-bound FlyDubai flight and kill 180 people, the majority of whom were Jews.
His plan was bigger. He wanted to crash the plane into a high-rise skyscraper in Tel Aviv or the Burj Khalifa in Dubai and kill as many non-Muslims as possible.
According to intelligence sources, he was in contact with some radical elements in Iran, Pakistan, Syria, and Turkey.
He was a big fan of Osama bin Laden, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, and Pakistan-based UN-designated terrorist Maulana Masood Azhar.
He visited Pakistan in August and Turkey in May. He was also a supporter of New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani and London Mayor Sadiq Khan.
He was fired by Oman Air in 2024–2025 for regularly browsing extremist websites and expressing support for the Islamic State, jihad, and anti-non-Muslim sentiments during conversations with colleagues.
The real identity of the Omani terrorist pilot linked to the FlyDubai hijacking attempt has been revealed.
His name is Mohammed Hamam Al-Hammami. He was fired by Oman Air in 2024–2025 for regularly browsing extremist websites and expressing support for the Islamic State, jihad, and anti-non-Muslim sentiments during conversations with colleagues. He was hired by FlyDubai without a background check. His mother is of Syrian origin.
He visited Pakistan in August 2026 and Turkey in May 2026.
His diary reportedly contains praise for several terrorists, including Osama bin Laden, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, and Maulana Masood Azhar.
It is a truly shocking incident that FlyDubai hired a terrorist as one of its pilots.
Incidents like these make passengers feel extremely unsafe, and one should not be surprised if, in the future, people start asking about a pilot's religion before flying.
Dear US Tax payers
Just to let you know, that while you struggle to pay your rent, educate your kids and save something for a "rainy day"
The Pentagon "accidentally" paid Dictator Zelensky an Extra $6.2 billion of your money
"An accounting error"
@sabeer worrying about problems in a country 10000 miles away while your own state and country is gone to the dogs is a new normal in US https://t.co/hj7Tfn4kNL
Do you know? 🇺🇸 Child marriage is still legally permitted in 32 of the 50 U.S. states, yesterday California banned Child Marriage.
The U.S. is also the only UN member state that has not ratified the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
California set aside $24 billion for homelessness.
California then announced that the entire $24 billion DISAPPEARED.
Finally, it was tracked down.
It turns out that the funds were turned over to an NGO.
Instead of helping the homeless, the funds were used for a mansion in LA, a home in Greece, and a $125,000 vehicle.
All under the watchful eye of Gavin Newsom.
The dude belongs in prison.
🚨 BREAKING: Florida just SUED Pfizer for deceptively marketing their COVID vaccines as safe while women suffered miscarriages and teens had heart attacks
THE PEOPLE DESERVE JUSTICE.
“Weeks ago we learned Fauci and the biomedical state knew the COVID jabs were dangerous but hid it from us.”
“While that investigation continues, today we sued Pfizer for deceptively marketing the products as safe—making billions—while pregnant women were miscarrying their babies and teenagers were having heart attacks.”
This is ADMITTED by Fauci. He knew!
Lockdowners and vaccine makers are wanted to make BILLIONS instead of actually following the science
And people paid with their lives or their CHILDREN 😡
Prosecute Fauci!
J&K Police officers calm a charged mob of Muslim medical students protesting outside Government Medical College (GMC), Doda, demanding action against Dr Madhu, a gynaecologist, over allegations that she objected to a burqa-clad intern entering the labour room.
The hospital has already constituted a committee to examine the complaint. Yet the protesters wanted action against the doctor immediately.
One student is heard saying that even if they have to give up education, they will never compromise on their religious identity. Another invokes the lathi-charge against MLA Mehraj Malik to ask why the same action should not be taken against Dr Madhu. This claim, however, continues to remain false. Mehraj Malik was never lathi-charged. Police had only used mild lathi-charge and tear gas to disperse his supporters after some of them started pelting stones at the cops.
The full-face veil was hardly a ubiquitous sight among women in Jammu and Kashmir when we were growing up. More than 50% of my classmates were Muslim, yet I cannot recall a single one wearing a burqa. Everyone wore the uniform prescribed by the school or college. The growing visibility of the face veil came much later, amid the religious and political changes that followed the onset of militancy.
So what are we witnessing today? Simply an expression of individual faith, or an increasingly assertive form of religious identity in public institutions?
And more importantly, should face-covering be permitted in clinical settings where identification, hygiene, communication and patient safety are legitimate considerations?
What do you think?
Know your real Avengers 🚨
- Captain Smit Machchhar, who fought the attacker and opened the cockpit
- Asaf Redjuan, who rushed at the attacker
- Israeli dad Tzvika Mans, who tied the attacker with a cable so he couldn't move
- Yaniv Hayon, who handled the aircraft and kept it stable
- Dr. Shota Musaev, who treated the captain and stopped the excessive bleeding.
They all worked together and made sure all those 180 passengers landed safely. Truly, men are brave 🙏
So.. should DOGE audit her? 👀
