On Friday, April 13, 2019, 6 young men on their way home from PAWA254's #PAWACafe were arrested by Central Police Officers. Being Kayole residents, they were falsely booked for mugging. They spent a night in jail before PAWA secured their release. Stop criminalizing youth!
@Boltapp_ke Good evenie, your drivers are at it again,seems it's only the name which changed. Statehouse Cresent to southB has never been 22km,it's neither Athiriver nor kitengela,it's a max of 7km.
Fare estimate can't just quadruple...
@tarussharon@Pawa254
How dare @Boltapp_ke steal from your clients. This is not the first time and it is very wrong. From State House Crescent to South B is not 22kms!! Estimate was 260, then you dare charge 720. Stop stealing!! https://t.co/0P0oFsiJdg
I just read the @OdipoDev article on Kenyan influencers. They mentioned that Kenyans don’t believe that influencers are experts in their field and I believe I know why. ( Long thread)
It’s plain laziness and mediocrity and as a PR practitioner, I’ll be the first to say that we are complicit AF in this mediocre influencer culture in KE.
Work is a privilege, not an inconvenience.
It is being pro-active about learning at work that will over time, raise your career profile for a higher earning.
Players within the communication industry tend to get caught up in social media options and what they uniquely offer at the expense of having real conversations. The result is the illusion that communication has effectively taken place.

What are you hopeful about? At @Pawa254 , we are hopeful that art will continue being an integral part of change making process in Kenya and Africa and that young people should not be afraid to disrupt – that is the only way to be able to construct. #DisruptInequalityAfrica
Young people are here to prove a different world is possible. Everything rises and falls on leadership -It's everything. In his poem- They Told Me, Ford Foundation Regional Director Maurice Makoloo emphasized, “Because you dared many are and many will be” #DisruptInequalityAfrica
“I am energized and excited about the introductions we just heard. We have reasons for hope on this day. This is your future, we are depending on you and Kenya as well as Africa needs you more than ever.” @darrenwalker#DisruptInequalityAfrica
“You cannot divorce the transformation that happens in a nation from its young people. If you want to see the future of a nation, look at the place of its young people.” Said Caren Wakoli of Emerging Leaders Foundation. #DisruptInequalityAfrica
