10,000 hospital jobs could be lost due to Doug Ford's cuts.
10,000 nurses, PSWs, & front-line staff gone from our communities.
Longer wait times, worsened care, and out-of-control hallway medicine.
Meanwhile, Ford won't be back at Queen's Park until March 23.
Disgraceful. #onpoli
Fascism turns politics into spectacle, canalising popular anxieties and demands into the realm of the aesthetic, substituting symbolism for material change. The response must be to repoliticize social struggle, which requires meeting fascism at the level at which it actually exercises power, which is at the level of capital and the instruments of state violence and coercion that protect it. By turning resistance into spectacle, these kinds of actions play on fascism’s turf, conceding to its attempts to depoliticise and disarm political struggle. In this sense, these people are not opposing the concentration camp; they are decorating it.
A 16-year-old American citizen has been trapped for eight months in a notoriously abusive Israeli prison, and our government does nothing.
Free Mohammed Ibrahim now.
57 new private clinics in ON will take more than 100,000 diagnostic tests out of public hospitals- along with funding and staffing, with plans to expand to surgeries. Doug is essentially building private day hospitals, shifting hundreds of millions in public funding over to them.
It took Canada over a decade to acknowledge and apologize for its inaction on the Rwandan genocide. Will it take as long again on Palestine?

One year ago, I learned that I would not be reappointed to teach @UBC's @ubcspph. Dismissing instructors for speaking out about the genocide in Gaza is an egregious violation of academic freedom. All forms of repression of faculty & student speech about Palestine must end.
CBC's Fifth Estate just released its investigation into millions of dollars in Canadian tax-deductible charitable donations being used to subsidize the Israeli army and illegal settlements.
This is why the issue should be of concern to everyone. 🧵 /1

The story of what happened to Samuel Bird breaks me.
Much love and hope for peace and justice to this family and this boy.
He deserved joy and a good, long life.
🇵🇸 🇺🇦 “What can Sudan or Somalia or Palestine or any other people living through war really expect from the UN or the global system? For decades, just statements and statements. And even everything happening in Gaza remains without a way out.”
This is historic. At least one civilian ship has managed to do what no state has even attempted: prove that the blockade can be broken. Zionism is, as they say, a paper tiger.
Israel can’t stop all the boats. They are still sailing towards Gaza. Only a quarter of the boats were stopped. The rest are continuing their journey towards Gaza. Beautiful and courageous souls aboard these boats. My friend shared this photo from one of the boats. Onwards.
Mariam Dagga, killed by Israel today, was an incredibly talented photographer. She relentlessly and courageously documented the genocide. I'm going to share some of her images. Graphic content included.
I sat with this beautiful girl today after her home was bombed. She wasn't even crying. A child so broken, even her tears have given up. The saddest sound is no sound at all, a child too hurt to cry.
Now comes the question, how do we tell her that her mother has been killed?
