All immigrants, legal and illegal, create more demand for housing and everything else and therefore push up pricing on everything.
Similarly, any additional immigrants push up the supply of labor thereby decreasing wages.
It's simply supply and demand. The mass migration encouraged under Biden is still be felt today.
Palmer Luckey: Patents are Chinese instruction manuals that get downloaded and copied every single morning.
"Stop patenting everything. You're taking your most valuable stuff, the entire patent office can be downloaded every single morning and then ripped off."
"For 20 years or so, between when you file for a patent and when somebody could launch a product, China could just rip it off right away. Western companies can only rip it off after 20 years."
"I don't hardly get patents anymore. There's a few things here and there, mostly defensively, because our patent system allows people to sue you when they think you're infringing."
"We need to massively expand the national security patent process. You can obtain a classified patent, you get exclusivity on the rights without disclosing it to anyone. A lot of the things Google patents around artificial intelligence are of national security importance. They should be allowed to get a patent, and it should absolutely not be disclosed publicly."
"Maybe I can't buy 20 years, but maybe I can buy one, two, three. If I could buy a year, that would be enough to make more of the effort worthwhile."

NOW: More immigrants will be deported thanks to everyone here on X who helped spread the story of Swedish 16yo Meya, whose rapist wasn't deported because ”the rape didn’t last long enough”.
In the aftermath of Meya's case, the UN has now updated its guidelines on deportation of "refugees".
From now on, rape is recognized as a serious crime that can justify deportation.
It should never have taken a case like Meya's to make this happen.
@BasilTheGreat It would be nice if @Google had the courage to tell the UK government and @Keir_Starmer NO. They should treat this just like China where they took down service before giving control to government censorship.
🚨BREAKING: UK GOVERNMENT TO TAKE CONTROL OF YOUTUBE ALGORITHM
This is pure authoritarianism
Keir Starmer's/Andy Burnham's Government is set to control the YouTube algorithm by LAW stipulating that they must push "APPROVED CONTENT" to UK Citizens
And independent voices who criticise the government will be pushed to the back of the queue making it harder for people to find
YouTube has acknowledged this is happening
This must be stopped
@RepLuna If the Save America Act has anything on transgender or birthright citizenship, it not about voting and bound to fail. Strip those out and move it forward again.
@PeterSweden7 Democrats hate Americans.
Bloomberg: The Justice Department sued Massachusetts and Rhode Island for offering in-state college tuition rates to residents lacking legal status while not extending the same deal to US citizens in other states.
Not anywhere near a shakedown as the companies agree to the investment!!! Government is contributing $$$$$ to these companies that it considers strategic to the USA national interest.
This is much better than before when govt contributed $$$ and taxpayers LOST if the company failed but other won if the bailout was successful.
@NancyMace And it continues "who belong to the families of foreign ministers" in the US and goes on to say "but will include every other class of persons".
Not sure I agree nor their logic, but the majority certainly had a strong basis for their opinion.
@marklevinshow Roberts and Barret should have known they were going astray when the basis of their argument was feudal law. That said, the majority did have the plain meaning of the 14th amendment.
Either way, 5 justices ruled this what the constitution says. So back to the Save America Act.
Chief Justice Roberts: "No such intersovereign concerns apply to children born of parents unlawfully or temporarily present in the United States; no foreign sovereign would “have any motive for wishing” them outside this Nation’s authority."
This is obviously wrong as in most jurisdictions children born to their citizen are citizens of that country creating a conflict.
@USSupremeCourt cites Calvin’s Case, 7 Co. Rep., at 6a, 77 Eng. Rep., at 384; see also Doe, 4 T. R., at 308, 100 Eng. Rep., at 1035.
NEITHER case contains the phrase "and subject to the jurisdiction thereof", which is why going back to old English common law, which the founders explicitly rejected, is a horrible justification of this ruling.
@TomCottonAR No. The answer is to cut off any funding of immigration,
make it crime with prison time to employ or provide housing to anyone here illegally. It’s going to be impossible to deport millions. Cut off any funding and the problem will solve itself.
@RandPaul Love Trump but he’s a horrible politician. This was a losing issue from the start and now in no small measure because of Roberts hatred of Trump we have a decision that places the issue beyond our nations ability to solve.
@SenRandPaul They will not protect elections or prosecute people for 20M deaths. Do you really think we can get a constitutional amendment passed?
Please focus on cutting spending on all the fraud and maybe these folks will go home of their own accord.
🚨 BREAKING: Elon Musk tells every citizen of America to NEVER forget the treason of Biden-Harris dispatching forklifts to open the border for criminal invaders as Texas tried to keep them out.
"Never." 💯💯
🇬🇧 CONVENT AND ST PATRICK BURIAL SITE BURN DOWN IN DOWNPATRICK, MEDIA SAYS NOTHING
Yesterday the convent and the burial place of Saint Patrick himself in Downpatrick was reduced to ashes.
Locals say it was arson. The resting place of the patron saint of Ireland set on fire, and the legacy media has nothing to say. The politicians have nothing to say.
A Catholic site tied to one of the most important figures in the history of these islands burns, and you get silence.
That silence tells you everything.
Justice SOTOMAYOR, writing for the minority: For most of this Nation’s history, Congress and the President together have decided that some Government functions should operate at a distance from partisan politics.
Who is she kidding? The administrative state answers to no one. Today's opinion changes that a little.
The issue, as Gorsuch writes, is that so much has been delegated it will take all branches to fix.
I suspect we have missed our chance at secure elections and there is probably more disappointment to come. Residing in California is getting more and more difficult to stomach.
@USSupremeCourt; Plaintiffs do not challenge the general practice of absentee voting, the use of the Postal Service or common carrier to transmit ballots, early voting, or the counting and certification of votes after election day. The Court also does not consider the scope of Congress’s authority to regulate federal elections.
Which means all of these issues are still to come.
How about we start by deporting anyone in the USA on TPS that is receiving government assistance? Those folks are not contributing to society they are a drain and the TEMPORARY free ride is over.
Then we will see our deficit shrink, housing prices decline and our hospitals able to provide services.
