Yep. This doesn’t surprise me at all.

At the end of the day, mortgage rates will need to come down. Either that, or the ability for a new borrower to assume an existing mortgage.

When I purchased my home in 2020, I got a rate of 3.125% and monthly payments of $1,900. Today, that same mortgage payment is between $4,500-$5,000. Depending on down payment amount.

Yes to an extent. I think the add-on products (mortgage, etc) will prove to be very generous towards margins.
