What’s next? A government agency that regulates how fast I can drive my own car?
Stoplights? Pretty soon the government will have a record of every car I own.
It’s just like that book 1984 that I never read.
Justice Clarence Thomas’ pattern of unethical conduct couldn’t be clearer. The Supreme Court needs an enforceable code of ethics. If they won’t act, Congress must.
Isn’t a basic reason why humans made “government” and ~society~ was to make sure the most vulnerable are protected regardless of what the healthiest/richest/strongest people think about it lmfao you’re all sociopathic morons congrats on that
I have yet to hear a real explanation from any official hesitating to condemn the killing of Jordan Neely about what makes condemning this violence so “complicated.”
Killing is wrong. Killing the poor is wrong. Killing the mentally ill is wrong. Why is that so hard to say?
people don’t deserve to FEEL safe, they deserve to BE safe. you don’t get to dispense death to someone for having a meltdown or ringing your doorbell or turning around in your driveway because you were stopped from FEELING safe.
Jordan Neely was murdered.
But bc Jordan was houseless and crying for food in a time when the city is raising rents and stripping services to militarize itself while many in power demonize the poor, the murderer gets protected w/ passive headlines + no charges.
It’s disgusting.
what preventable horrors will appear in bold headings in our children’s history books when every unfathomable tragedy that should’ve irrevocably altered our society for decades happens again every new day? every new hour? every new minute? when will it be enough?
The court's decision not to reinstate me undermines the democratic principles our country was founded on.
I vow to continue standing for my constituents & community to fight for our democratic institutions. If we can't get justice in the courts, we will get it in the ballot box.
