I LOVED watching these sweet first graders perform their plays this morning! They worked so hard to create backgrounds, props, learn lines, and speak clearly with expression. Thank you for inviting me @mrsholtsclaw 🎄
Our fabulous lead teachers are leading PD for their teams this week and are killing it! This teacher is Disney obsessed so it was very fitting (and so cute) that her presentation had a Toy Story theme! I am always so inspired by my amazing colleagues!🤠
Spent the afternoon with some of the greatest educators I know! We’ve got plans to beef up vocabulary instruction to build upon background knowledge and enhance reading comprehension. Such exciting work! 💡
The #HappyBirthdayGoogle challenge continues today with Google Arts & Culture! Did you know you can paint with music? Color famous artworks? Explore historic sites and landmarks? Check it out on our slides deck today and don't forget to complete the form! #MyCCS
Today's #HappyBirthdayGoogle Challenge theme is Google Forms! Our slides offer a beginner, intermediate, or advanced option so you can pick the challenge that best fits you. If you haven't received the slides, reach out to your building tech coordinator! #MyCCS
5th graders analyzing responses to reading. Looking for structures they can transfer to their own reader’s notebooks. Love working with these students and alongside their amazing teacher!
TEACHER ACTIVITY - 1,000 Dollar Pyramid
Here’s a fun way to get students talking about the content you are teaching.
🍎 Students in pairs or teams
🍎One faces the board (gives clues) the “guesser” faces the other way.
🍎Fill pyramid with content
🍎Add time limit if you want
We’ve been reading a book called Pelé. It’s about a Brazilian soccer player who worked really hard to play in the World Cup. The kids were so excited to spot the Brazilian flag in the front office!
Saw these friends at the end of the day and HAD to snap a pic of their projects 🌎 This is an awesome way to show knowledge of continents and oceans! #cte3rd
