@DeanPreston Transit needs fund itself without relying on high ridership to survive and it needs to be efficiently run and free of corruption. BART plans to spend over $128,000 per INDIVIDUAL fare stall (700+ of them) to implement jump proof stalls, how is that egregious bid even approved?

@Scott_Wiener I can’t believe @SFBART is just now thinking about easy to evade fare gates. Let’s hope the new ones actually stop gate jumping. I also can’t believe it’ll cost $128,571.00 per SINGLE fare gate totalling 90M for all 700 gates. Insane! How do these reckless budgets get approved?

@Scott_Wiener CA’s death by a 1000 cuts financially. Everything costs way too much. Gas. Electricity is some of the highest in country. Sales tax is 10+% in most of the Bay. We tax sugar drinks knowing full well it won’t stop people’s habits. It’s a poor tax. Everything must become cheaper.
