@DrKCarlson Q4- This isn’t something I ever focused on before, but I also want to pay attention to the response of others. Am I’m getting the most out of all my teammates when I am using my strengths? How do lean into my strengths and how will they help me lead? #ED634
@DrKCarlson Q4- I will continue to sharpen my strengths and find ways to make them more useful by taking note of the things that I’m enjoying and things that I am not enjoying. This will help me to clearly identify when I’m at my best, and what I’m doing while I’m at my best. #ED634
@bueltel_collin@NoahBrenden I think this is a great point, even if the leader is good or bad. They might not be your style, but you can observe peoples reactions and know how to do things better, or the same. #ED634
@DrKCarlson Q3- I felt like it also put a different spin on what we traditionally hear and talk most about. So often my focus is on the things that I can improve upon, I set goals, and ask for feedback on things that I am weak on but rarely do I even think about my strengths.(2/2) #ED634
@DrKCarlson Q3- I thought it was an extremely helpful tool to make me aware of when I am at my best. I have always had my own intuitions about what my strengths are, but have never had anything to confirm it. (1/2) #ED634
@DrKCarlson A2- It’s up to us to remember our strengths, work on our strengths and make them useful. StandOut devotes an entire chapter to sharpening your edge. Explaining exactly how to stay within your strength zones and it is found that most successful people are able to do so. #ED634
@DrKCarlson A2: You have to know your strengths and remember them. Its not enough just to know them, because in most situations people are not concerned with what makes you unique. If you do not work on them they will come out anyways, you just won't be in control of the results. #ED634
@CoachOPeterson@DrKCarlson Great post, Onika. I think sometimes us as leaders forget that we are leaders for a reason! It's nice to remember our strengths.
@DrKCarlson A1- You become more collaborative, generous and creative. As a leader, when you are most successful you are at your best and that allows everyone else to be at their best. (2/2) #ED634
@DrKCarlson A1- Your strengths according to Buckingham are value neutral and it’s up to you to make them useful. To summarize, you are at your best when you are using your strengths! (1/2) #ED634
