Overnight success at the Fraser River Debris Trap! It trapped 30,000 m3 of woody debris from the Chilcotin landslide. Huge thanks to the facility operator for sharing this update. Gratitude to Shxw’ōwhámél First Nation, who co-manage this debris trap with the Province.

I have used #udemy for my online learning for the last decade or so, but I keep seeing people raving about the previously mentioned two platforms.

Has anyone here taken the Search and Rescue course through the Justice Institute of BC?

I am registering now, just wondering if you enjoyed it or not.

So I finished the course yesterday evening.

For anyone interested, it says it takes 7 hours, but it only takes about 2.

It is mainly regarding the structure of SAR organizations in BC and doesn't touch on any Search and Rescue skills yet.

It's admittedly been a bit hard to hike much in this heat, but some early morning fishing has been nice.

Been having to stay off the computer a bit more than usual, I'm worried I'm starting to develop carpal tunnel syndrome.

Extra time for hiking and fishing I suppose.
