For my first post, I’m sharing a letter @NVIDIA signed on why open models matter.
AI will transform every industry, power every company, and be built by every country.
Open models strengthen safety and cybersecurity, accelerate innovation and diffusion, and enable sovereignty.
The world needs both frontier closed models and frontier open models.

The last 14 Moni lifetime NFTs
before you fill the form https://t.co/C1Mznmnxa1, let me tell you what you're actually applying for.
We started building Moni 5 years ago because we knew where the edge was. attention. who's looking at what, before it becomes obvious.
VCs, founders, OG traders, the accounts that actually move markets. we track all of it. 15,000 accounts now, hand-curated. every follow, every mention, every bio change - in real time.
at some point the people using the tool started talking to each other. sharing what they saw. comparing notes. dropping calls in a private Discord before anything went public.
that became the Moni Wizards.
186 wizards now. traders, researchers, builders. the kind of room where someone posts a project at 3am and by morning three people have already done the deep dive.
i stopped on this conversation (check pic.) in the war-room yesterday.
july 1, our team drops Alpha Report #1724. $Cashcat, tiny cap, Robinhood narrative. a week later a @mqxoniwe posts: "bought at 5m after prev. run from 200k to 8m, sold half at 30. and still holding half of bag. life is great!"
And life is truly great.
right under it, another replies: "yea moni tried to spoon feed me this gem and still faded it." with a McDonald's gif.
same report. one aped, one faded. we can't make you click buy. we can make sure the report and tools land before the run, not after.
the NFT itself is lifetime ultimate access to everything we build. the platform, the API, the tools, the community. no renewals, no tiers above you.
and what's new for Wizards:
- Moni API requests and MCP for builders and agents;
- Lowest trading fees across everything Moni
- Early access to every new tool and bot we ship. we build them around narratives as they emerge, specifically so you never miss the alpha.
The market changes. we change with it. that's the deal: you hold one NFT, we keep shipping.
14 last seats. team reads every application and will connect in case of being chosen
Today we share the worldview behind our mission.
Human values don't average out. Local knowledge can't be centralized. The good future has many AIs, raised in different places, shaped by the people they serve, disagreeing with each other the way we do.

Announcing Ethlabs: a non-profit R&D lab for Ethereum and ETH
Our mission is to make Ethereum the settlement layer of the global economy.
The internet became global because shared protocols created a common language between networks. Private systems remained useful, but bounded. Finance is approaching a similar moment. As value, assets, and markets become digital, the world needs shared settlement infrastructure.
Ethereum is uniquely positioned to become that shared base layer, the neutral foundation on which users, institutions, and agents can transact without intermediation.
What we believe:
• We believe credible neutrality matters. Ten years of uptime and the lowest counterparty risk. Ground that cannot be pulled away by any one country, institution, company, or person.
• We believe ETH matters. The most valuable, programmable store of value. A decade of broad distribution, deep liquidity in onchain markets, and maximally trustless asset on Ethereum.
• We believe DeFi matters. Markets, liquidity, credit, exchange, and coordination, open to anyone.
• We believe adoption matters. Principles do not change the world until people benefit from them.
We sit between two worlds: real usage from the builders at the frontier, and the protocol that has to support it. We work with users, applications, wallets, L2s, infrastructure teams, institutions, ETH holders, core devs and researchers, then turn what they actually need into protocol work, shared standards, infrastructure, and shipped products.
Ethlabs is independent but Ethereum is a shared project. We are one node in a much larger network of stewards. This is the multi-node future.
We have spent the better part of the past decade contributing to Ethereum core research and development.
We are opinionated and transparent. We move with urgency, learn in public, and course-correct when we’re wrong.
We are building a lean, talent-dense team for people who want to do the most important work of their careers: [email protected]
No, you don't get it.
He does not have $1 trillion sitting in cash, it is 99% stock in his companies.
To make that wealth liquid would mean selling all that stock which would swiftly destroy *both* the companies (Tesla, SpaceX, others) and the wealth. If he sold it all, he'd end up with maybe $100b max, several hundred thousand people would be out of work, the companies ruined and many of their suppliers also ruined.
Okay, but now Elon has $100b in cash, and can "solve the world's problems".
$100b divided by the world's 8 billion people is $12
If you were in charge, several of the most innovative industrial companies in the world would be destroyed, hundreds of thousands out of work, and space would again close to human civilization for another generation.
But everyone on earth could have one nice meal and you could revel in your altruism.
Introducing Claude Fable 5: a Mythos-class model that we’ve made safe for general use.
Its capabilities exceed those of any model we’ve ever made generally available.
the anthropic co-founder jack clark advice that stuck with me:
read the primary material. not the summary. not what the ai said about it. the actual thing.
form your own opinion first. then ask the model. never the other way around.
keep practices in your life where it’s just you against the world ~ a sport, an instrument, reading, building something with your hands. spaces where the algorithm can’t mediate what you learn about yourself.
and don’t defer to AI even when it’s usually right. especially then, actually. that’s precisely when the habit forms.
the people who won’t get eaten by this moment are the ones who stayed hard to replace. not because they avoided the tools but because they kept the parts of thinking that make the tools worth using.
It's been a while since global sentiment towards crypto has been that bad.
I said this many times, we're not in 2021/22 end of cycle because this time no SBF/Celsius/Luna. We're in 2018, a slowand lingering despair of "we're not cool anymore" mostly solely due to price not going up.
Back then, when the tourists left, the builders delivered MakerDAO, Compound, SNX, EthLend (Aave) and more with mostly apathetic reception.
It's an exciting time to focus and deliver even if the market will be ungrateful for a while.
