Quick tip: If your car gets submerged in water like this, the first thing to do is DON'T START THE CAR.
Have your mechanic drain and replace the engine oil and transmission/gear oil with the correct fluids first. After that, the car can be checked and started carefully to assess any electrical or mechanical issues.
Starting a water submerged car immediately can cause much more serious damage with changing the oil .
Really hope people don't have to spend unplanned money with this flood
Anytime I want to bring food for my staff, I prepare well.
On my way to the office today, I saw one of my staff where they sell potatoes.
She was greeting me, but I pretended like I didn’t know her because I knew she was supposed to be at the office..
I don’t know how she did it, but she flew to the office immediately she saw me.
When she arrived, she apologized and explained that she’s observing her fast and had stepped out to buy potatoes to break it. As she was still apologizing, I brought out the food.
They screamed 😂
Imagine leaving the office and your boss was busy preparing hot fried rice and jollof rice just to surprise you.
The excitement when they carried their food was pure joy.
I told them next time I’ll check the CCTV and bring food only for those I see that didn’t leave the office 😂
I move like Angel Michael.
I be boss wey dey pamper 😁

Last night I decided to buy every single item on this receipt from 2020. To find out how bad things really are .
Total price in 2020 - N25,225
Total price in 2026 - N147,050
A whopping 582% increase in price . If your salary in 2020 has not increased by x6 you are poorer 😭
Just remembered in 2018, I designed a 78 page magazine for my girlfriend (now wife) for her 19th birthday.
Tricked her into doing a photoshoot, hired the stylist, photographer and makeup artist.
Also wrote all the articles even interviewed her mum for an article.
Sept 2018.
When I first relocated, one of my flatmates was a plumber with a 2-year training course. Yes, professional plumber.
He had a clear career pathway.
No superiority. No ego. No “I’m better than you.”
At 22 years of age, he already owned a house in England and drove a 2016 Mercedes Benz coupe. Here I was, a 29 year old with just a Physiotherapy degree with $0 in my account.
His salary and mine? Barely a 5% difference when I got my first pay.
Then I started meeting people from everywhere, White collar, blue collar, no collar etc 😁
A lady managing over $400m portfolio took me golfing like it was a stroll in the park.
A physics professor who has seen half the world once visited me just to eat Nigerian Jollof rice.
Nobody cared about titles. Nobody was trying to oppress anybody. We address ourselves by first name and respect everyone.
Meanwhile in Nigeria, some people will act like their profession is the gateway to heaven. Some with the little torokobo in their hand will oppress others for not having, some will mock others for earning more peanuts than others, some will try and hinder you from getting better pay.
The hierarchy mindset is so toxic that we can’t even see how it’s holding the entire country hostage. We worship titles, and unnecessary things, maybe that's why politicians will keep seeing us as fools.
Sometimes I wonder if we will ever reach a point where skill, value, and humanity matter more than titles.
I don’t look down on anyone, I just want a society where everyone is respected and rewarded for REAL work, not imaginary status.
So if you come around me and try to prove one yeye superiority, I will put you in your place. Stay humble and learn to respect others.
My wife and I almost lost our marriage to a friendship.
Not an affair.
Not another man.
Her best friend.
It started small.
A text here. A call there.
"She just gets me."
I didn't think anything of it.
Until I noticed my wife told her things she didn't tell me.
Hard days at work. Fears about the kids. Doubts about us.
Her best friend got the real her.
I got the tired version.
The leftover version.
The one who said "I'm fine" when I asked how she was.
One night I found her crying on the phone.
With her.
Not me.
I stood in the doorway.
She didn't even notice.
That's when I realized:
I wasn't losing my wife to another man.
I was losing her to a counterfeit intimacy that felt safer than me.
No risk.
No vulnerability.
No covenant weight.
Just comfort without cost.
I sat her down the next morning.
"I feel like I'm third in my own marriage."
She got defensive at first.
"She's just my friend. You're overreacting."
But then I asked:
"When's the last time you told me something before you told her?"
Silence.
She couldn't remember.
Neither could I.
We didn't fix it overnight.
But we started.
She stopped running to her phone when she was hurting.
She came to me instead.
Awkward at first.
We'd forgotten how.
Your wife doesn't need a best friend who "gets her."
She needs a husband who pursues her.
And brother…
If she's running to someone else with her heart?
Maybe it's because you stopped being safe enough to hold it.
Your spouse should know you better than anyone on earth.
If they don't, that's not their failure.
It's your invitation.
Go get your wife back.
Not from another man.
From the counterfeit comfort she's settled for.
Because you stopped showing up.
Let me share this.. there’s this Northern guy I grew to like cause of his Sincerity (very Beautiful person facially)🥹
One night in 2020, entered his bike to my estate gate, fare was N50, I gave him N100…
He didn’t have change, I told him (when next I see you, I’d collect it)
He affirmed..
Weeks had passed, one night, he saw me, asked if I was going home and carried me, I had even forgotten about that N50, he reminded me and told me not to pay, I was surprised cause I had forgotten🥹
This started our friendship..
I did not see him again till early 2022, He had upgraded to Keke, no more bike…
He saw me and shouted 😭😭 according him, he always saw me in my car but never had the opportunity to greet me, I collected his number.
Here’s where it gets interesting, our Estate banned keke but someone he had access, so he knew where I stayed..
One day at Berger cause that’s where keke to Magodo gather, my mind told me I was going to see him, immediately he saw me, he asked everyone to come down and took me straight to the estate gate, I wanted to come down and he was like “NO” he’d take me home😳
To pay him came the issue, man didn’t want to collect money from me, I had to force his hands with 3k cause it had been so long I saw him..
He collected on the promise that the next time I enter his keke, he wouldn’t collect money from me, i accepted, and forgot 😭😭
A year had passed, my car had upgraded, when he saw me at Berger, this man was so pleased, even prayed for me “he calls me Sister” Worse, he even turned to some keke riders with “See how God is blessing my sister “ I was shy
One time he saw me again waiting for keke, you will not believe this young man carried me home again, and he remembered that PROMISE 😭😭 he didn’t collect money from me again😭😭😭😭😭
See ehn, Till date, whenever I am driving past Berger or Isheri, I tend to look out for him to even greet, funniest thing, he does the same..
Once he sees me on the road like this, regardless of if passengers are in his keke, man will stop to greet🤭🤭🤭🤭
Randomly remembered him this morning 🌸
Our TV broke in December, and it changed our family.
We decided not to replace it for 6 months. Best decision ever.
Without a TV, the kids read more, play together, and spend evenings outside with friends. As a family, we talk more, laugh more, cook together, play games, and actually hang out.
On Saturday, we hosted our own family sip & paint with homemade meat pie, chicken wings, and puff puff. The whole day turned into laughter and connection instead of everyone behind screens.
It’s now 10 months, and we’ll likely end the year without a TV. Screentime is way down, family time is way up.
Best family experiment of all time.
There are a FEW ladies here and in real life, dem no just get wahala AT ALL! They just want to come online, learn, laugh, catch cruise, improve themselves and in the real world, be problem-free and live life simply and cheerfully.
May the Grace of the Almighty be with them and may life be very sweet, merry and bright for you all as Grace continues to find you.
@DavidHundeyin Yesterday, I told my wife that the most important thing I want my children to have is the ability to think critically. Always take a step back and think 360° before any action or words.
My somewhat hot take on this?
Men don’t become this kind of fathers overnight. They show these qualities long before. As just friends, boyfriends or husbands
So when that man shows you who he really is, don’t ignore and somehow hope you can make this kind of father out of him
Come to Nigeria to invest!!!! We don’t hate Nigeria, but you can’t see me defending brazen corruption just to sound patriotic. What’s my guarantee that the land I bought with full C of O will not be revoked by a politician tomorrow?
That Land Mark beach was the game changer for me. I’d rather own 50 houses n businesses in UK than open a kiosk in Nigeria.
Until the court truly starts giving justice to poor people, Nigeria will continue to be a joke.
