Today marked the closing session of 🇬🇪’s FSC Chairpersonship. With our partners, we held discussions to foster dialogue, strengthen co-operation & uphold the Helsinki Final Act in support of peace & security across the @OSCE area. We wish @UKOSCE every success as incoming Chair.
As Georgia’s Chair of the @OSCE Forum for Security Co-operation comes to an end, we warmly thank the @GeorgiainAus team for their dedication and leadership. The focus on the Code of Conduct and its relevance to today’s security challenges provided valuable discussions. We welcome @UKOSCE as the incoming FSC Chair and look forward to continued cooperation. 🇬🇪🇬🇧
Thank you 🇬🇪 for providing clear guidance and keeping the focus on the Russian aggression against Ukraine throughout your #FSC chairpersonship! Welcome 🇬🇧 as new FSC chair. You can count on 🇩🇪 full support. @GeorgiainAus@UKOSCE@OSCE
Today's Joint @OSCE FSC-PC meeting considered the #OSCE Code of Conduct on Politico-Military Aspects of Security and conflict-related human rights violations. The Code remains a cornerstone commitment linking democratic control of armed forces to respect for international humanitarian and human rights law. Upholding IHL and IHRL, and ensuring accountability for violations, is essential to restoring confidence and reinforcing cooperative security in the #OSCE area. Thank you to our distinguished speakers for their valuable contributions, and to @GeorgiainAus for co-organizing this important discussion during Georgia's FSC Chairmanship. #OSCE26CH
At @OSCE FSC-PC meeting, Ukraine called for increased pressure on Russia to ensure unrestricted access for intl monitors to places of detention of 🇺🇦POWs&civilian hostages, hold Russia accountable for conflict-related HR violations, strengthen comprehensive support for survivors.
Today, a special joint meeting of the @OSCE Permanent Council and the Forum for Security Co-operation in Vienna was convened at Ukraine’s demand.
This joint meeting addressed Russia’s massive missile and drone attacks against Ukraine, as well as Moscow’s latest threats.
OSCE Participating States clearly condemned Russian terror and reaffirmed their strong commitment to continue supporting Ukraine.
Despite Moscow’s attempts to intimidate our state and foreign diplomats, the international community firmly stands with Ukraine.
I value all messages of genuine solidarity and support, as well as the swift response of the Swiss OSCE Chairpersonship #OSCE26CH and the Georgian Chairpersonship of the Forum for Security Co-operation #FSC2026GEO in convening this meeting.
I am personally grateful to my Swiss and Georgian counterparts, @ignaziocassis and @MakaB__, for their leadership, and to all countries who clearly stood up today in defence of the UN Charter and Helsinki Principles.
At today’s joint FSC-PC meeting, Switzerland expressed deep concern over the recent aerial attacks in the context of Russia’s war against Ukraine, which have once again severely affected civilians and civilian infrastructure.
International humanitarian law must be fully respected at all times. We reiterated our call for immediate de-escalation, cessation of hostilities, and a return to diplomacy.
A just and lasting peace must be grounded in international law, including the UN Charter, and the Helsinki Final Act.
#OSCE26CH
Georgia firmly believes that restoring respect for agreed #principles and rebuilding #confidence among participating States must remain at the center of our collective efforts.

The Helsinki Final Act underpins collective security in the OSCE region. Yet over decades 🇷🇺 has repeatedly violated it.
- Use of force against 🇲🇩🇬🇪&🇺🇦
- Dictating which alliances states can join
- Malign activity in at least 40 OSCE states

It was a great honor to address outstanding audience @NATO while #celebrating 10 years of Defence & Related Security Capacity Building #DCB initiative, which in 🇬🇪s case materialised into successful Substantial NATO-Georgia Package #SNGP@ModGovGe@GEORGIA_NATO#StrongerTogether
1000 days have passed since #Russia started its illegal war of aggression against #Ukraine 🇺🇦 causing immense human suffering & destruction
RUS must be held accountable for the aggression & other crimes under int’l law, as well as for the damage caused by its aggression
Happy Independence Day, Ukraine 🇺🇦! On this important occasion, we send the warmest wishes for peace and well-being to the Ukrainian people and reiterate our unwavering support for 🇺🇦's sovereignty and territorial integrity. @MFA_Ukraine
Born on this day in 1606, in Leiden, Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn. Painter, printmaker, draughtsman, and extraordinary at them all. One of the true greats of my or any century. Here by himself in 1629.
Georgians see their future within 🇪🇺.
However, the recent adoption of the law on foreign influence is distancing the country from European values.
I have called on @iliadarch to reconsider this measure and to maintain their commitment to reform.
Washington is hosting NATO's 75th anniversary Summit. I am glad that Georgia, as an aspirant country, is present at an event of such importance. Our country has repeatedly proven that it is reliable, loyal, and one of the most compatible partners of the Alliance. #NATOSummit
