Tensions ran high yesterday at the Seattle Black Fire Fighters Association's historic headquarters. The SBFFA held a press conference to raise awareness of the alleged illegal sale of their building, a hub for activism since the 1970s. During the event, the property's new owner arrived, asserting her ownership and sparking a confrontation with firefighters and community members. The SBFFA has filed legal action to rescind the sale, with a court hearing scheduled for January 8th.

We all woke up to heartbreaking news in the University District. Our community lost a dedicated bus driver who was tragically stabbed in the U-District. I am sure this devastating act of violence has shaken us all of us, especially as we approach the holidays.

In the last few messages, I have documented some of the hate my citywide campaign has experienced. I am debating if I want to post the death threats and blackmail messages I have also received. I did not experience any of this in my first run in D2.

This message was received by an 18-year-old campaign team member and forwarded to me. This wasn’t the only threatening message, several were sent to myself and my team.

Yes we will also be reporting them all to officials.
