There’s been confusion in the media lately regarding Project Labor Agreements in St. Louis County - and I wanted to take a minute to set the record straight.

Building Strong Communities and Local 49’s Career Pathways Program. Two phenomenal programs that correctly pave the way for individuals to join the trades.
Good luck to top-seeded Hibbing/Chisholm tonight against Luverne in the Class A boys state hockey tournament, and good luck to fifth-seeded Northern Lakes, which plays East Grand Forks! A great week of hockey is ahead!!

"The coalition of business groups and unions — including those representing laborers, carpenters, operating engineers and ironworkers — say Minnesota’s current laws allow opponents to delay projects to death. For example, Minnesota’s air permitting review takes about six times as long as Illinois, Iowa and Wisconsin, according to a study by the Minnesota Chamber Foundation." #mnleg
Toured @Meta’s Rosemount data center site today. Construction work is all union. MN’s quality trade union workforce is an attraction. Thousands of work hours. Great tour!@ibew_110. @49Local. @MNPipeTrades. @MNBldgTrades.
Today we announced Polar Semiconductor’s $525 million expansion – a historic investment made possible by President Biden’s CHIPS and Science Act.
Together, we're making sure companies like Polar Semiconductor grow their businesses right here in Minnesota.
We have an obligation to protect our drinking water, keep communities safe, and reinforce our transportation infrastructure.
These projects will improve our infrastructure and create good-paying jobs across the state.
Whether it’s repairing roads and bridges, investing in clean water, or modernizing our higher education facilities, a strong infrastructure plan creates jobs and helps every community thrive. Thank you @StPaulCollege for showing us your vision for the future.
It's Constriction Suicide Prevention Week. Business Manager @JGeorge49
and Tim Worke of @AGCofMN have ideas to help the industry confront the crisis. #ConstructionSuicidePreventionWeek

Lots of elected officials support organized labor - if a union is taking on a corporation they are quick to show up for workers - that’s good and appreciated - now do it when it’s a so called progressive mayor mistreating union firefighters - otherwise it’s all for the show
MUST READ from @49Local: @mnsrc, I am frustrated. When you voted down Bonding bill, we understood you needed time to negotiate. You won. Final offer included your projects, $200 million for nursing homes & roads. @mngop chose to say No. You are not victims here 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻 #mnleg
-Construction worker wage protection act!
