@DanRiffle Yesterday, I had a bday party for my 5 yo with 20 people comfortably fitting in my backyard and on my deck. I have storage for tools/toys/seasonal things, and a 15'x 20' garden. I appreciate those things as much as I hate owning cars.

@DanRiffle You have a great setup & there are tons of pros to living in the city. I used to live in DC (played you in softball!) and I miss lots of it. Walkability and public transport are huge. But, I also don't think burb living is a scam. Whatever makes people happy is great.

@bobconfer I left for 10 years and moved back. Cost of living in WNY is amazing! My wife is from SC and always talks about how you can see the taxes at work— parks, free music, trash pickup! Plus it’s a great place to be for climate change—fresh water and temperate climate.

UPDATE: A G3 Geomagnetic Storm Warning is in effect until 2am EDT. This is a slight downgrade from the G4+ forecast earlier, but would still prove sufficient to spark aurora across northern tier states, including New York.

@slavojtrex @SeeDaneRun I would add that Covid increased remote work abilities and people who previously left the area to work in cities could now keep jobs and move back for a lower cost of living. (I did this, albeit in 2018)

My friend had 25,000 emails in Gmail. He created a filter to delete everything with the word "unsubscribe" in it.

He’s now at 100.
