The Artemis II astronauts were all smiles on the flight deck of USS John P. Murtha after they were extracted from their Orion spacecraft after splashdown.
Welcome home Reid, Victor, Christina, and Jeremy! 🫶
The Artemis II astronauts have splashed down at 8:07pm ET (0007 UTC April 11), bringing their historic 10-day mission around the Moon to an end.
@GoPSUKris @GoPSUsports Congratulations on a great run! Still remember the early days with you as my boss for men’s tennis like they were yesterday. Best of luck!
Worked under @jeffnelson24 at more than 100 @PennStateFball games and nearly a decade. First one together as fans in the stands. Nice to get a win! #WeAre
@LilJuniperBerry @NASCAR When in the history of the sport have they started a race 24 hours early? I had a flight from across the country booked to land at 7 pm tonight. It’s not about me only. Feel bad for the thousands in the same boat as me unable to see the race.
@JasonTh40434991@jeff_gluck Exactly. I had planned to fly in tonight from 5 hours away and would have gladly changed if I knew this was possibility. And now I’m screwed. The forecast never changed and no one had a clue this was even a possibility. I commend the decision. The timing is ridiculous.
@bobpockrass This great logic to get the race in. But as a ticket holder for the race with no possibility of making it to the track on such short notice, I do not understand why this couldn’t have been decided earlier. Disappointing for a lot of people who have no chance to be there so soon.
