I just finished writing a paper letter to Peter Friedlander, Global Head of Television, Amazon MGM Studios, asking for development of Martin Gero’s Stargate to resume.

I am intentionally not reproducing the text here, because individually written letters have the greatest impact.

Suffice it to say, I politely but firmly explained that the real value of the Stargate franchise lies in the dedication and loyalty of its very large fan base, and that alienating this audience in search of a "modern audience" that other sci-fi franchises had already pursued, in vain, and to their ruin, was a mistake.

If you love Stargate, or if you would just like to see good sci-fi TV again for a change, please consider writing a letter yourself.
