Healthcare Transformation in Plateau State
Governor Caleb Mutfwang is driving major improvements in healthcare delivery through the Plateau State Drugs and Medical Commodities Management Agency (PS-DMCMA), ensuring better access and lower costs for essential medicines across the state.
Through efficient supply to health facilities, the cost of medical commodities has reduced by about 25%,while life-saving drugs like anti-venom are now more readily available and affordable.
Key achievements in the health sector include the recruitment of specialist doctors, procurement of modern medical equipment worth over ₦2 billion, upgrades of health facilities, expansion of health insurance coverage, and improved access to quality care across rural and urban communities.
Healthcare in Plateau State is becoming more affordable, more accessible, and more efficient for all.

Three years ago, this level of progress in our primary healthcare system seemed a distant goal. Today, across Plateau State, communities are witnessing a remarkable transformation as healthcare services move closer to the people.
Under the visionary leadership of His Excellency, Governor Caleb Mutfwang, Primary Healthcare Centres are receiving renewed attention, infrastructure is being strengthened, and access to essential healthcare is expanding across the state.
These are not just healthcare facilities, they are evidence of a government that understands that the wellbeing of its people comes first.
Governor Caleb Mutfwang is not just making promises; he is delivering results.
A healthier Plateau. A stronger Plateau. A greater Plateau.
I had the honour of hosting the Namibian High Commissioner to Nigeria, H.E. Walde Natangwe Ndevashiya, as we began discussions on a strategic partnership between Plateau State and the Republic of Namibia.
Our engagement focused on tourism, mining, wildlife conservation, livestock development, agriculture, and intra-African trade, key sectors that hold immense potential for economic growth and job creation.
Having witnessed Namibia’s remarkable success in wildlife conservation and tourism, I am excited about the opportunities this partnership presents for Plateau State, particularly as we continue efforts to revitalise our tourism assets and attract investment.
Africa’s prosperity lies in stronger collaboration among African nations. Plateau State is ready to build meaningful partnerships that drive development, unlock opportunities, and create shared prosperity.
The Time Is Now.

Today, as we mark our third anniversary in office, I remain deeply grateful to God and to the good people of Plateau State for your trust, support, resilience, and belief in this journey.
Three years ago, you entrusted me with the responsibility of leading our beloved Plateau State with a shared vision of hope, restoration, peace, and progress.
These past three years have not been without challenges. We faced insecurity, economic hardship, attacks on innocent communities, and political and legal distractions. Yet, through it all, we remained focused and determined to build a more peaceful, united, secure, and prosperous Plateau State.
As an administration, we have continued to take deliberate steps toward restoring hope and rebuilding confidence in governance. In security, we revitalised Operation Rainbow, recruited and trained over 2,000 community volunteers, strengthened collaboration with security agencies, and deployed modern surveillance technology to improve intelligence gathering and response across the state.
We have also remained committed to restoring dignity and hope to displaced communities through rebuilding efforts and humanitarian support initiatives across affected local governments.
In education, we reduced tuition fees by 50% for Plateau indigenes in state-owned tertiary institutions, increased scholarship funding, renovated and constructed classrooms, and expanded opportunities for students within and outside Nigeria.
In healthcare, we upgraded the Plateau Specialist Hospital with modern equipment, recruited qualified medical personnel, expanded health insurance coverage, and improved healthcare facilities across the state.
Through the Tin City Metro Transport Service and partnerships with airline operators, we have improved transportation and eased the burden on our people. We also continued investing in agriculture through the recovery of farmlands, distribution of subsidised fertilisers, mechanised farming support, and ongoing agro-processing projects.
Across the state, road construction projects, water schemes, rural electrification initiatives, tourism development, urban renewal projects, and environmental sanitation efforts are gradually transforming our communities and laying stronger foundations for the future.
Certainly, we have not yet reached the mountaintop, but we are no longer in the valley. Step by step, we are rebuilding Plateau together.
Plateau is rising again, and with your continued support, unity, and faith, we will keep moving forward toward a more peaceful, stronger, and prosperous future for all.
God bless Plateau State.

@Amb_Honesty Is it a crime to recognize someone in a gathering? Oh common, you can do better than this please. Gov. Mutfwang is doing his best in regards to securing lives and properties on the Plateau. Thanks
The situation on the Plateau is not a clash between farmers and herders. It's a calculated assault on our community. I empathize with your distress and will ensure that all necessary measures are taken to bring the perpetrators to justice. ~ Gov. @CalebMutfwang
Today, I chaired the screening committee for serving Governors seeking reelection, as well as those aspiring for the Senate, ahead of the forthcoming primary elections of our great party, the All Progressives Congress.
We successfully screened a significant number of aspirants today in a process marked by diligence, transparency, and commitment to the ideals of the party, while the exercise continues tomorrow with the remaining aspirants.
As we deepen internal democracy within our party, we remain committed to ensuring a credible, fair, and seamless process that will further strengthen the APC and position us for greater success in the elections ahead.
