@MarcusLuther6 I like to give my students work time to avoid them getting behind but I find that the ones who need time most are the ones who waste it. Not sure how to strike a good balance.

@Teachers__Unite There are many reasons students can't attend school, many of them to do with the institution and not the child. I recommend looking at some of the work of @naomicfisher for a look into school "refusers" and school-related trauma.

As an Autistic ADHDer, I feel capable of doing most things the average person can do. The trouble is that many things take an atypically *huge* toll on me - a toll I can’t always afford to pay. I’m often more easily drained, overwhelmed, confused and otherwise affected by things.
