So yesterday, I went back to Gifford and I was so happy!!! I helped students create posters about the1 of the 5 major religions in Asia. It was nice to be back, I missed the kids and my mentor. #edu310
This past week was AMAZING!!!! I had my first observation and I was worried about it but everyone said I did great. After the observation we watched March Madness. It was great :)
Last Friday and this past Monday, my mentor gave me the opportunity to lead the classes for the whole class session. It was amazing!!! Students were engaged, and when I told them I was teaching them they were very happy :) I plan on teaching again this Friday.
My mentor and I walked around helping students. The first attempt was on Wednesday. On Friday when I went back students had to their second attempt. My mentor had the kids partner up to study and it was beautiful. The class really is a little community
I absolutely love my placement!!!!!!! This week in my placement, students had to take a test on naming all the Asian countries. They get 3 attempts and they get to keep their highest score. If students get all 48 right, they end up in the 48 club. So while they were testing....
This week in my placement I only went on Monday. My mentor taught a lesson on "Why you should not climb Mt. Everest" The kids LOVED it. She taught the lesson with great enthusiasm and it made me eager to teach. #EDU310
In my first visit, my mentor taught the students about the countries in Asia. At the end of class the students had to do a project. They had to research on the landforms in the continent and turn it into a tourist brochure. This is a project I'd love to do in the future. #edu310
