@missgeog92 I've just bought some things from your Etsy store, they were brilliant and made me so happy. You bring a lot of joy to people's lives. Don't think that way about yourself. You are more important than you realise.
Let me buy you a book for your birthday, send me your wish list.
@RethinkingJames Then secondary schools could overlay subjects like natural/life sciences or an array of humanities topics rather than distinct subjects. Students could choose combinations that interest them. Universities and employers need to value the skills and variety more than the content!๐
@RethinkingJames I love this idea, as a parent and a teacher! My own children would choose an entirely different mix. However, does it need to be defined by grades or by skills? It could mean that primary schools could focus on love of learning and basic skills with no subject related pressure.
@secretHT1 I never received a ballot paper. Loads of staff at my current school report the same problem. How could the threshold be met under these circumstances if it has to be by post? The system needs reviewing.
@cathiehewitt We had the worst of both worlds. School stayed open and staff were expected to be in but we had to do blended learning for those students who didn't come in (which was the majority)!
@spacedmonkey No, not if that member of staff is there to ensure correct ratios. The only circumstances that it would be acceptable is if that member of staff was coming along as an extra because they wanted to but were not needed and there were spare tickets e.g to see a show.
@fiona_616 Thank you. That's helpful but it seems wrong for the exam boards not to support teachers more. That's a lot of work for every HoD in every school.
Looks like I'm going to be busy putting the paper together this week then!
Does anyone know when the AQA Geography GCSE mark schemes for the November 2021 papers are going to be released? They are not on eAQA. I was hoping my year 11s could do some of these papers for their mocks next week! 2020 papers have copyright issues so running out of options!
@fiona_616 Even in the secure area of eAQA? I thought they were available within a couple of weeks of the paper being uploaded.
I'm finding it all quite difficult as a new HoD to find appropriate secure papers that aren't publicly available for students to use in their mocks.
Not sure what school it was, but if you took a trip to Joss Bay today then your students were fantastically well-behaved and your staff were awesome. Very impressed with the organisation, and efficiency with the gazebos. It looked like everyone had a great day. So lovely to see!
Please help me with my Masters dissertation be completing the following survey:
https://t.co/n06n20qkwG
The survey explores how risk is communicated in volcano tourism and should take ~15 minutes to complete.
Thank you in advance!
