Question:
Have you heard of a #planetarium? If so, have you ever been to a planetarium show?
I’m curious to know - if you were to pay for a planetarium show, what would be your expectations, if any, for its content?
Let me know what you think!
It’s so sad to see so many other teachers and trainees leaving and I hope something changes soon, because I have met SO MANY amazing teachers in my short time and they deserve better!
I will stay in education, of sorts, becoming Head of Curiosity @WinSciCentre
Not tweeted in some time, but now I take a big sigh of relief. Yesterday was my last day, as I take a step away from teaching. Other teachers may have managed/be managing the balance between being and ECT and being a parent of a baby, but it has been unsustainable for me.
My wife is also a teacher and the inflexibility imposed by teaching, the high workload and the impact of a lower salary on the sudden rise in cost of living has forced me to take a break from it for now.
SO nervous about being an #ECT Year 7 tutor next year… tonight was Meet the Parents. Wasn’t sure what impression I left them with and then my friend sends me this screenshot 😍 #teacher#edutwitter
It has been yet another minute… Degree, PhD, run a comedy club, NATO defence advisor, COVID testing scientist, and the rest… YET nothing has been harder than being a trainee teacher and first-time father in the same year. THE TOUGHEST year of my life and I have made it 🙌
A chance to focus on another of our super Meet the Scientist #volunteers who inspires our young people with his amazing underwater #research Find out a fact from @Nikhil_Mistry on our #festivecountdown today https://t.co/zcaz6bjOG9
@HopleyMiss@MrTs_NQTs@adamboxer1@tes I’ve had an idea, I’ll make it my ‘thing’ that we have a pop quiz at the end of each lesson. They’ll keep track of scores in a table at the back of their book to try and match or beat their high score. I’ll call it ‘Pop Quiztry’. My surname is ‘Mistry’ 🙄
@adamboxer1 Ahh I see. Thanks for your reply, I appreciate your advice. I’m struggling to fit in assessing every student at the end of every lesson and I appreciate knowing it’s ok to have the same methods for that each time.
