@J300PER Good point - and we made the decision to increase our pay offer to do just this and have attracted some experienced technicians because of it. It's a key job in the school which we really value.

@dodiscimus @SciTweetcher Only difference for us was balck out blinds for physics rooms and fume cupboards in chemistry But we do t have a 6th form so much easier to be general purpose. We are very happy with ours and did lots on the design, happy to chat if it helps.

@jwalms93 P8 over 0.5 each year... we have 7 hours/fortnight in year 9 and 9 hours/fortnight in years 10 and 11 for all students regardless of separate or combined. Start teaching GCSE at beginning of year 9, but pretty seamless between KS3 & KS4 in our curriculum.

Does anyone know of a school that runs a (Teaching & Learning) book club for staff? Would love to match up and arrange sharing of books between schools to reduce costs if so!

@MrHerbertSci Nothing wrong with it being a measuring practical rather than 'investigation', of course... just a different purpose so different set up, for me.
