An expansion of child care in New York City could lift as many as 12,000 New Yorkers out of poverty every year, according to report by Robin Hood, the city’s largest poverty-fighting charity, and Columbia University’s Center on Poverty and Social Policy. https://t.co/be4UiI79O5
Everyone has an opinion about reading instruction.
But opinion ≠ evidence.

No one asked me, but it is fascinating watching Reading First get analyzed (again) on Sold a Story 20 years after it happened -- and my distinct sense is that we are in danger of the same thing happening again. My take, from someone who reported on it a lonnnnggg time ago 1/n
