@kristianteaches I totally agree! We continue to provide more funding and resources to privileged communities when they aren’t the ones who need it! #3310txst
We are not providing the same opportunity to low income schools that we are the rich. They are the ones who need more funding and better teachers. We should provide them with what they need to be successful. #3310TXST
In today’s education system, we are not providing students and with an equal education. We give the rich more and leave the low income schools with what they have. We need to be providing a better education to those who need it. #3310txst
@MissDeandraa Very well said! Students need to learn that expressing themselves is a good thing, especially while they are growing and developing. If students are taught that it's not ok, they will get run over when thrown into the real world. #3310txst
I think that students and teachers should both have the right to freedom of speech protected. Why is it ok to express yourself outside of school walls but not in them? Schools should be a safe place for you to stand up for your beliefs. #3310txst
One thing I loved in this week's reading of the 1902 protest was seeing the whole student body come together for a cause. It is so cool to see students exercise their rights, even at a young age. #3310txst
I want my students to come to my classroom and be excited to be there. We never know what’s going on outside the classroom but we can control what goes on in it. Showing your students respect can go a long way. #3310txst
@ReannaG20 I totally agree it’s important for the classroom to be a safe place for students to come and unwind. We never know what’s going on in a student’s personal life so being an outlet for them is so important! #3310txst
Students deserve one on one time for each subject and I plan on making sure I learn each student's individual needs in order for them to be successful and feel a sense of belonging. #3310txst
@DiaynaraP Yes! I think it is so important to not look down on a student's disability or struggles they have in the classroom, instead, they should be celebrated. Each student is so different and by showing them that you welcome their differences, you will make a lasting impact. #3310TXST
I think Twitter is such an important place for future educators. Being the social media generation, it is a great way for us to hear what other educators have to say and could affect the way we teach in our classrooms. #3310TXST
I think diverse teaching is so important and should be more of a primary focus for all teachers. Specialized learning affects if a student will graduate and how successful they will become. I think diverse teaching should be required in schools #3310TXST
@morganw_txst Couldn't agree more! Building student relationships and setting a good foundation in your classroom is almost more important than what you are teaching! without trust, students will never properly learn in the classroom. #3310txst
I think it's sad that families have to choose between their family's health or possibly losing their children. If families can't vaccinate their elementary students, they should have the option to keep their students home. #3310TXST
One article I read recently from NYTimes was about life for families with children under 12. I think it's ridiculous for our state to require young children to attend in-person classes with no thought as to what their home life might look like. #3310TXST
@tegantheteacher Couldn't agree more! I think teachers play such an important role in shaping children and helping them grow! Excited to see what the next generation has in store! #3310TXST
@msmaness Totally agree! It is so important to not only focus on your classroom as a whole but to make sure that each individual student is getting the attention and education they need in order to thrive! #3310TXST
My goal as a future educator is to provide a safe place for my students to learn, grow, and discover who they are and what they want to become. #3310TXST
