Anshul came to America as an international student, full of hope — working a part-time job delivering pizzas just to meet expenses. On what should have been an ordinary shift, he was fatally shot after completing a delivery at Raymond Rosen Homes in Philadelphia. He was rushed to the hospital, where he passed away. He leaves behind a family in Hyderabad, India, shattered by unimaginable grief. No arrests have been made.
When his family needed help most, a community showed up.

𝐓𝐄𝐀𝐌 𝐀𝐢𝐝 was proudly recognized for its dedicated community service at the Mandaara, New England Kannada Koota (NEKK) musical concert celebrating the renowned vocalist, Smt. Sivasri Skandaprasad. In a heartwarming gesture, NEKK presented this honor in the presence of distinguished dignitaries, including the Deputy Consul General of India, Mrs. Shruthi Purushotam, and the vibrant NEKK community.
NEKK has been one of TEAM Aid’s most cherished and trusted partners since its founding, and together the two organizations have served not only the Kannada community of New England, but families across North America and the broader Indian Diaspora — providing compassionate support during life’s most critical moments.
Accepting the recognition on behalf of TEAM Aid, Mohan Nannapaneni expressed deep gratitude, dedicating the honor to TEAM Aid’s tireless volunteers and global partners whose unwavering commitment and compassion make the organization’s mission possible every single day.
TEAM Aid remains deeply grateful for NEKK’s continued trust, collaboration, and shared vision of serving communities with dignity and care. This recognition is a powerful reminder of what two organizations, united by purpose and heart, can accomplish together.

Mr. Gurjeet Rai: A seasoned real estate broker and dedicated social worker, Gurjeet has been a pillar of TEAM Aid for seven years. After the profound experience of losing his grandmother in the U.S., he transformed his personal grief into a mission of service. He specializes in the complex logistics of repatriation, ensuring families can bring their loved ones home to India with dignity and peace.
Mr. J.P. Samuel: Serving as National Coordinator for eight years, J.P. walks alongside immigrant families during their most vulnerable moments. As the Lead Pastor of The Spectrum Church in San José, he bridges the gap between logistical expertise and compassionate care, offering spiritual guidance and trauma counseling to those navigating overseas tragedies.

On humanitarian grounds, we humbly request your urgent assistance @CBPChicago in the case of Mr. Rahul Patel, a Canadian national who tragically lost his life after jumping from the Niagara (Canada) side to the New York side during a deeply distressing personal moment.
All formalities for the transportation of his mortal remains have been completed by our Volunteers @TEAMAidOrg and @IndiainNewYork A close friend of the deceased from Canada sent Mr. Patel’s passport, which was expected to arrive by Tuesday. Unfortunately, it is currently being held by @CBPChicago@USPS
We sincerely acknowledge and appreciate that @IndiainNewYork has always been cooperative and compassionate in such cases. In fact, the Consulate routinely issues No Objection Certificates (NOCs) for the repatriation of mortal remains even when the original passport is not available due to various unavoidable reasons.
However, even if NOC being issued in this case, airlines including @airindia are strictly requiring the original passport to be physically canceled by Consulate before they can transport the mortal remains. This has created an unforeseen bottleneck, preventing timely repatriation.
We therefore earnestly request your kind intervention to facilitate the release of the passport from customs at the earliest. This will enable the final journey of Mr. Patel to his grieving family in Ahmedabad, India, where they await his return to perform the last rites with dignity and closure.
We remain deeply grateful @TEAMAidOrg for your understanding, compassion, and prompt support during this very difficult time. @MEAIndia@mnannapaneni
