A new study proposes a new explanation for dark matter using linearized general relativity (GRL) rather than exotic particles.

By analyzing the Milky Way's rotational velocity in its outer regions, the study finds that the observed decline in speed matches a model based on GRL with an added homogeneous gravitomagnetic field, similar to electromagnetism's magnetic field.
