Whenever we embark on a fundraising initiative, there are 99 per cent of people who speak against it. We do not listen to them. We focus on the 1 per cent who truly wish to help.
We have a terrible situation in South Africa. Malawians are being evicted from their homes, and are sheltering in various camps. The number is rising fast. We were talking about 10,000 yesterday, but now it's cruising towards 20,000.
I appeal to all of us with the capacity to help to do whatever we can. Let us hold their hands. Let us make them know that they matter. We love them. We will try our best to bring them home.
The government is doing its best. It has also launched its own fundraising initiative, whose account details are attached. You do not have to necessarily donate through me.
But if you wish to channel your help through me, my account details are: Account No. 1855988, Stanley Kenani, National Bank of Malawi, Lilongwe branch.
You will touch lives.
So far, I have received K33 million.
But the money needed is more than K1 billion.
Whatever we raise will make a difference.
So help us God.
Congratulations to the new recruits. Quick question though — how did the guy in the black shirt and jacket transform into a white shirt in the next photo?🤨
