- no risk of premature detonation of the explosive charge
Most importantly, no need for the sapper to work near dangerous objects, which practically eliminates the risk of accidents during demining

T4T was pleased to take part in today’s Demine Ukraine Forum in Kyiv. The side discussions were fruitful. We believe T4T’s computer vision-based AI technology can make a marked impact for the automated detection of UXO and other ERW in Ukraine
Researchers @adamhrv and @tech4tracing built a #ComputerVision-based object detector that will help mine action and human rights investigators detect submunitions in Ukraine.

T4T's intervention this morning at the UN OEWG on Conventional Ammunition stressed the capabilities that computer vision will bring to illicit ammunition documentation. Current references to new technologies in the draft Global Framework should stay!

1/3 T4T is pleased to share the news that the European Union (@EU_FPI) is now supporting our work with @adamhrv to test and refine efficient and effective workflows for the creation of arms and ammunition computer vision detection algorithms.
During the first phase of this project, we will build an inventory of high-priority arms, ammunition and explosive ordnance object detectors and scope the creation of fit-for-purpose mobile platforms to integrate multiple detectors and generate data for accountability mechanisms.
