Placement tip #2:
Review your CV and write up a Cover Letter draft during the break between 1st and 2nd year. This step took the longest amount of time to complete for me and having this done beforehand would have massively reduced my stress and sped up my initial applications!
Excited to announce that I've completed the Santander Self Development Programme! I've learnt so much and look forward to continue learning with even more content over the next few weeks! Thank you @UniofHerts, @sportingedge for the opportunity! #SandtanderUniGrowth

Placements: the topic I wished I knew more about before moving into 2nd year. I started searching for industry placements in September and was surprised to see some deadlines had already passed. I'd advise to start looking early & do your research! You don't want to be balancing
ones that interest you and sign up (if available) to be notified when they go live. Researching in advance takes the pressure off when applications go live and you remove any unnecessary added stress!
Well it's been a hectic start to the academic year, that's for sure! Been so busy with assignments, placement applications; video interviews; applicant assessments; etc. that I've had no time to post on here. I'll try and re-cap the start of second year over the next few weeks...
Our Rapid Testing Unit opens next week for you to get a COVID-19 test before you travel home for Christmas. Getting a test means you will help protect yourself, your family and your friends
You will be emailed an invite to book your test in the coming days so keep an eye out👀

I'm officially a 2nd year student! I've moved into off campus accommodation; got to pick my first optional module to complete; had my first 2nd year lecture and will be looking for industrial placements for next year. Lots of new challenges to face but looking forward to it! #uni
