Chief Secretary @jamesmurray_ldn James Murray MP, your “diary constraints” refusal to meet the Gaps in Covid-19 Financial Support APPG, the APPG Secretariat, #ExcludedUK, and bereaved families is simply not good enough.

You acknowledge profound harm, yet you will not sit down with the people living it. An Inquiry is not a substitute for ministerial accountability.

“Diary constraints” is a brush off, not an answer. You recognise the profound impact, you recognise bereaved families, you recognise people feel they were not adequately supported. Then you decline to meet the very people carrying that pain every day.

An Inquiry cannot be used as a holding response while lives, livelihoods, and families remain shattered.
