How bad does a road surface have to be for #Surrey#CountyCouncil to use money from OUR #CouncilTax to fix it?
Worse than this apparently.
This is a busy road, with 20cm deep holes and cars driving on the wrong side to avoid damage - just fine!
I was part of the team renegotiating the Protocol in the autumn of 2019. I don't know anyone who thought the consequences were "unforeseen". In fact, they were all laid out to MPs as part of the Impact Assessment on the Withdrawal Agreement Bill (p44-60):

Tell you what leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. Tory MPs who dine daily on the heavily-subsidised top restaurant quality food in the House of Commons telling claimants they can eat well for 30p a meal.
The whole concept of "banking" a peerage so you can stay an MP until the next general election and then just slip into the House of Lords is deeply undemocratic and is yet another piss-taking exercise by this government.
10 years ago, the NHS was scored by experts to be the best health system in the world. Today, it ranks worst in Europe.
We must reverse privatisation & refund the NHS.
Rishi Sunak's government has published the list of acceptable ID required for people to vote in the UK. Six of the Government-approved IDs are specifically targeted at older people, while several forms of ID widely carried by younger people are excluded. https://t.co/3ga7sluon3
Braverman avoids the House of Commons again today. This is what happens when the ministerial code becomes redundant - why bother answering questions in the House if you’re terrible at doing that and there will be no repercussions for skipping out?
Thought I'd have a look at #Mastodon
Bearing in mind there was a Premier League London derby (football) earlier today, I searched for #Arsenal
The result completed my investigation. 😔
