The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas states that India's petroleum and LPG supply situation is fully secure and under control. All retail fuel outlets have enough supplies. There is no shortage of petrol, diesel, or LPG anywhere in the country. The Ministry calls upon citizens not to be misled by a deliberately mischievous, coordinated campaign of misinformation that is being carried out to spread unjustified panic.
Across the world, countries are dealing with price increases, rationing, odd-even vehicle restrictions, and forced station closures. Few have declared “National Energy Emergency”. India does not feel the need for any such measures.
Despite the situation at the Strait of Hormuz, India is today receiving more crude oil from its 41-plus suppliers across the world than what was previously arriving through the Straits. Crude oil supplies for next 60 days have already been tied up by Indian Oil companies.
Important advisory for citizens.
Petrol and diesel are adequately available at retail outlets across the country. Consumers are advised not to take or store fuel in loose or inappropriate containers, as it poses serious safety risks.
Retail outlets have been instructed to strictly follow safety guidelines while dispensing fuel, and any violation will invite strict action.

The Central Vista project is projected to save the government around Rs 1,000-1,500 crore annually in rent, based on official statements to the Supreme Court (2020) and PM Modi (2025), as ministries move to new buildings.
However, claims that most rented buildings are owned by Congress leaders lack official confirmation and appear unsubstantiated in reliable sources.

Rakesh Gangwal didn’t just sell his IndiGo stake. He delivered the slowest, politest, most profitable middle finger in Indian market history.
From 2019 to 2025, he cashed out ~₹50,000 crore - basically everything he owned - in perfectly timed block deals, while the PR machine and TV wallahs kept cooing: “Nothing to see here, just personal financial planning - founder unlocking value - still aligned with minorities - super bullish.”
Every block was followed by a fresh CNBC segment screaming, “load factor 92%, pricing power intact, India flying, target 7,000.” Every segment triggered another wave of retail and SIP money chasing the stock from ₹1,800 to ₹6000 like it was the last flight out of Kabul.
Warren Buffett’s old quip - "If a farsighted capitalist had been at Kitty Hawk, he should have shot Orville Wright to save future investors money, as the airline industry has historically been a "great capital trap," consuming vast sums with little return, despite the romance of flight" - wasn’t a joke to Gangwal. It was an instruction manual.
Meanwhile, mutual fund “process” wizards kept buying at 90–100x earnings because the deck said “duopoly + ancillary revenue = permanent moat.”
Retail heroes posted boarding-pass selfies captioned “Investing in what I use.” TV anchors called every 5% dip “a healthy correction in a structural story.”
Today, IndiGo has created an avoidable mess, and it'll definitely take them some time to recover.
Retail wallas must be averaging.
Everyone who bought Gangwal's shares at the top thought they were buying a growth story. They were just the exit liquidity for a man who read Buffett and actually listened.
Moral: When the founder treats his life’s work like a hot potato, don’t fight to catch it.

Price is supreme. Price is the prime mover. Everything in the market revolves around price. The consensus reached between buyer and seller makes the markets. Don’t you look for a good price to buy at or sell at, anything and everything? One may argue that it is valuations and earnings growth or fundamentals which are more important than price. Yet we know that stock price dictates everything. Many fundamentally strong business don’t get ‘bhav’ and many fundamentally weak stocks are given ‘bhav’ Bhav Bhagwan Chhe. Perhaps someone like you might understand the same thing with rather fancy words like ‘Price is Queen and Volume is King’

The PhysicsWallah listing today took me back to the first detailed profile of Alakh Pandey that we carried way back in May 2022, when his rivals like Byjus and Unacademy were way more hot and happening
And our interview with him on Bits to Billions in 2022, where he spoke about Unacademy making him a 75 crore job offer
