Canada’s March to the Match continues to work its way through the Toronto streets toward the stadiums.
Beautiful scenes as fans chant and cheer and high five fans who are lining the streets.
It’s going to be electric inside the stadium today.
Thanks @srijanpalsingh ji for remembering the victims and reminding the world about this tragedy! Hope the truth comes out and the families of the victims get justice! Air travel must be safe! The entire world needs to learn from this tragedy without whitewashing it by blaming the deceased pilot. We need to make sure a safety solution is achieved through “Technology” not “moral polishing” so that a tragedy like this doesn’t get repeated! https://t.co/V4eHbuK0P5

I agree. People have started doing #Rathyatra and #Kanwaryatra across cities in America and Canada. Despite being a practicing Hindu, I feel it is an unnecessary show-off that attracts negative attention due to the inconveniences caused by occupying public places.
I have known many such organizers. They have zero awareness of Hindu practices, never practiced at home, know no Sanskrit mantras, and none of their family members across three generations have read ancient scriptures. They do this purely as business—collecting donations and sponsorships, spending a fraction, and pocketing the rest. These folks are mainly associated with organizations selling Bhakti and Babadom that promote them. Innocent people away from India naturally get attracted and trapped. This nuisance should be stopped through sane voices in the community.
Migrants from countries like China far outnumber those from India across the Americas and Europe. But only Indian people get targeted. Indians need to be proud of the ancient Hindu philosophy of the Vedas and practice it, including meditation, which created so many Rishis. There are no references to such public “yatras.” This cheap Bollywood-style Bhakti has no deeper roots and doesn’t lead anywhere! 🙏
A dramatic video from Kuwait appears to show air defense systems engaging incoming aerial threats during a reported missile and drone attack targeting US military facilities in the Gulf region. The footage also shows interceptor missiles self-destructing in mid-air, a safety feature designed to prevent uncontrolled impacts if an interception becomes impossible.
While the full details of the engagement remain unclear, the incident highlights a key reality: despite ongoing ceasefire discussions, military activity and air defense operations continue across the region.

India's Cockroach Janta Party, launched by Abhijeet Dipke after a judge compared unemployed youth to cockroaches, exploded to nearly 23 million Instagram followers, with lawyer Prashant Bhushan warning it could spell trouble for Modi's BJP https://t.co/UK4AroWgbd

Not long ago, Pooja Singh was practicing high jumps in her Haryana village using bamboo poles and sacks instead of professional equipment. Today, she’s India’s new national record holder.
The daughter of a construction worker, Pooja’s journey wasn’t built in world-class stadiums. It was built with jugaad, persistence, and countless jumps when nobody was watching.
At the Asian U20 Championships in Hong Kong, the 19-year-old cleared 1.93m, breaking a senior national record that had stood untouched for 14 years and becoming the first Indian woman to win the high jump title at the event. Before that, she had already crossed 1.91m to better her own U20 national mark.
And at just 19, she hasn’t just raised the bar for Indian athletics, she’s raised it for every young girl who’s been told to dream smaller.
