⚡ A Computer That Did 2.6 Billion Years of Work in Just 4 Minutes

Scientists demonstrated something extraordinary. A powerful quantum computer completed a complex calculation in about 4 minutes—a task researchers estimated could take a traditional supercomputer billions of years to simulate.
The experiment was carried out by researchers at Google using their quantum chip called the Sycamore quantum processor.

Unlike normal computers that use simple 0s and 1s, quantum computers follow the unusual rules of Quantum Mechanics, allowing them to explore many possibilities at the same time.The task itself was a special scientific test designed to demonstrate Quantum Supremacy—the moment when a quantum computer can outperform classical machines at certain problems.

Quantum computers are still in early development, but experiments like this hint at a future where extremely complex problems in science, medicine, and technology might be solved far faster than ever before.

Fugal says it “seems to be a defense mechanism potentially” around whatever sits inside the mesa. Unmarked Black Hawk helicopters have also shown up mid-experiment despite active NOTAMs, with no answers from state officials.

JUST IN: Javier Milei announces a Starlink agreement to connect 6,000 rural Argentine schools

6,000 kits will be donated along with 24 months of Starlink's highest capacity plan, which includes priority access and up to 5 TB per month.

The hardware stays with the schools once the donation period ends.

ENACOM, Argentina's national communications regulator, has committed to funding a third year of service after that.

Javier announced it Sunday at the 138th Exposición Rural in Buenos Aires and thanked Elon Musk directly from the stage.

Every school on the list currently has poor connectivity or none at all.

Javier put Starlink's existing Argentine user base at 3 million.
