Youth Mission for Clean River (YMCR), an NGO in Arunachal Pradesh, has been featured in Mountains of Change: Transforming Waste Management in Hilly Areas by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs for its work in river conservation and waste management.
At the Gauhati High Court, Justice Budi Habung and Justice N. Unni Krishnan Nair were sworn in as permanent judges.
The oath of office was administered by Chief Justice Ashutosh Kumar in a ceremony held at the court premises.
Both judges had been serving as additional judges and will now continue their duties with full authority as judges of the High Court.
The appointments are expected to strengthen the functioning of the judiciary and ease the court’s increasing workload.

Capital Police had the privilege of partnering with @YMCRAP today under the Police Ajin initiative for a community-driven cleanup of the Yogamso River at C-2 Sector, Itanagar.
In this collective effort, 12.96 tons of garbage were removed from nearly a kilometer stretch of the river flowing alongside the colony. Alongside the cleanup, an engaging awareness session was conducted for local residents, emphasizing their crucial role in building a cleaner, greener Itanagar for the well-being of future generations.
