I’m sorry, but if your profile is nothing but reposts without one single original thought and you’re not in my industry. It’s an automatic block when you try to follow or contact me.
A new hackathon challenge launches tomorrow!
It's a currency app built around live exchange rates. You'll build the converter, pull live rates from an API, and add a rate history chart, currency comparison, favorite pairs, and a conversion log.
We hope you like the look of it!
This is why I decided to decentralize my repos. I moved to GitLab as a primary with Codeberg and my own Forgejo as backups. I still have GitHub but I don’t trust them. This has happened to too many people and too many times now. It’s just another reason why AI should not be in control of anything.
@ForrestPKnight Maybe a stock or commodity watcher? Add in some ML/AI analysis with geopolitical and weather/climate data models? You could even wire that into a doomsday clock 😂
@maietta Scibus isn’t as polished but the functionality is there. I’m pushing myself to move completely away from Adobe and go full open source Linux compatible. Same with Apple, I’m pushing to move completely away from their products as well.
I think the “grind” is from having to settle for a job to pay the bills. Especially if you don’t enjoy the job. Working to improve yourself, learning new things and finding out what “work” you truly enjoy is the trick to avoid the grind. Sometimes that is a long hard road but it’s worth it in the end.
I’ve come to love programming and IT/DevOps work. I know that’s the career path I want but it takes time to transition, especially when you’re established in an industry.
@mischavdburg Perhaps @wagslane can help, @bootdotdev has an awesome AI chat that can really help understand. I usually wait until I complete the assignment and then ask it questions to gain a deeper understanding. But I’m cheap and don’t want to pay Boots his salmon 😂
@it_unprofession Probably depends on location, but in the southeast they don’t own title and can’t foreclose. They might be able to put a lean on it but even that would be difficult to act on.
